The downside of not using gloves

I don't know if this has been spotted before but while jumping around the obstacle course in the orignal manor clothes I found the downside of not wearing gloves.

Looks like Lara gets some nasty scratches on the inside of her hands from all that shimmying and pole swinging. It might just be dirt but to me it looks like bloodmixed dirt or just dried blood.

Making Lara run through the rest of the obstacle course was a little harder after I noticed that. I winced every time I watched her grab on to a ledge.

But wouldn't that be a bit odd that theres blood on her hands in the Manor when I've just started the Natla's Mines level?

Not to mention that's in the manor and in a different outfit?

Lara gets filthy by rolling on the ground, and her hands come in contact with the ground when she does so. Makes sense her hands would be the dirtiest part of her :)

Yeah, it's only with this outfit. Dunno why they have added some scars inside her hands. You don't have to do something special to obtain this result, she doesn't need to grab some walls, the scars are here each time she wears this outfit.

It's the same thing with the blood on her hands when she wears the AOD outfit. :)

I've never seen scars or blood on Lara's hands while wearing either outfit no matter how much I make her jump and shimmy around. Have seen the dirt/bruises she gets on her elbows though.

Or maybe CD are working something into Lara's story where her hands are scarred - we never really have seen her without gloves except for the Young Lara levels in TR4/TR5 and Japan in Legend.

Though I hope it's just a mistake and it's really left over from the AOD outfit, which had it as an homage to Lara with Von Croy's blood all over her hands in the intro.

Also, it can't be dirt. Her dirt effect is done by blending an almost flat black texture over the verts of her model (That's why it looks so even). It could never produce a result that sharp.
That's a drawn texture, placed there specifically by a creator.

Edit: An example of that would be to compare the dirt on her elbow to those scars on her hands in the screenshot. The dirt is black, and very smooth (Because it just fades outwards from the vertex). Her hand however, has a solid texture applied to it.

I just went to the Manor to check and the only outfit that comes with no gloves is the wetsuit one, and it doesn't have the same texture. Weird.

shes most likely been to casualty many times from falling /and/or cutting her hands on sharp objects:). but i hope her hands recover.
amd i aggree , she would train without gloves as shes customed to the area, but outside in tombs and parisian backstreets , she might have to grab suddenly
