Secret 6 in Luds Gate??? How do i kill the frogman fast enough

I run and do fancy jumps but I never get to kill the frogman (diver) before he closes off the sixth secret. Help me.... I'm pulling out my hair....

u dont approach from where you emerge from the water, but have to run around to the left(if i am correct) and there is an area where you can vault onto. this gives u access to a passage that runs past the frogmans station and to the body of water where u get the secret. just jump in and the frogman will come in after u, which at that point u can draw your harpoon and kill him! hope that's somewhat clear. if not, hopefully someone can give u a better definition.
