Several of you guys who have posted your desktops in that thread seem to running Vista. Are you hardcore gamers? I ask b/c I hear all the time that not all drivers have caught up with Vista and one should wait if they play a lot of games. I do. I mean a lot. I would also think, as it is relatively new that it would have some stability problems.

Have you guys found it stable? Do you like it? Is it that much better than XP or does it just look better? Are any other hardcore gamers out there running it? What do you think? I also noticed that a number of the desktops were running XP still so I wondered about that as well. Maybe others are hesitant to change.

Oooh, it looks like OI have it but I dont :p it's a theme XD but my friend has it (hardcore gamer) , and he thinks that it's very good and a massive upgrade :) he also mentions that if you have any games made for windows XP, then in vista use thwe XP compatibility mode so anything that works on XP will work on vista :) it's basicly like having a better XP :p but In my opinion we should be waiting for more versions to come out, i've heard about bugs :pi:
Yeah, so I dunno about drivers, but any game you have should work on vista if you put it in XP compatibility mode, so i'm thinking that you dont need updated drivers, could be wrong though :o

I'm asking another forum for help for you aswell, i'll post later if I get any useful replies :D

I have only tried RC2 of Vista and that put me off to be honest. But for now, I suggest that you stick with XP for now until there has been more support in Vista (and when DX10 comes properly around the corner).

I too would wait until you know for sure there's sufficient support.
There's this tool on Microsoft's site which tells you exactly what software (that you have currently installed) will or won't work with Vista...
