View Full Version : I saved a butterfly today... (good deed done!)

But I may have broken a wing in the process :pi: As I understand it they're very fragile those little wings and it didn't take off when I placed it on the window ledge but I couldn't clasp it in my hands and well I did my best anyway. It was either that or it would have died from the stink of urinal cake in the public loo or maybe suffer the fate of having some old codger pee on it. :whi:

Anyway that's my good deed of the day done...what's yours? :pi:

When i came out of a pay and display carpark today having only used 5 min of my hour, i gave the ticket to a lady who was just pulling in. Does that count?

I killed a giant silverfish today. Prevented it from getting in clothes.

I always save any living being, no matter how small. I always help bugs from webs, pudles etc. It's nice to hear you helped the butterfly.:o

Hmmm.... good question. I like to do nice stuff, but oppurtunity hasn't knocked today. A few weeks I fished a HUGE hornet out a pool... so that'll work.

I hooshed a spider out of my room and set it free outside. It's quite a feat for me since I am terrified of spiders :D But I can never kill them. I always feel so guilty afterwards :o

I resisted the temptation of smacking someone very annoying... Is that even considered a good deed?:p

Well, I don't know if it was a good deed :whi: but I saved, well technically "killed" a bird with broken wings and legs, I took it in to the vet and they, well, put it to sleep

Not doing a bad deed doesn't count as doing a good deed. :ton: If that were the case, we'd all be doing billions of good deeds every second. :D

Makes you feel so much more honourable and good that way though, doesn't it? :D

Tsk tsk, shirking your duties as a teenager? Those old ladies are asking for it. :D

As for my good deed - I, um, helped my mum prepare dinner. My contribution consisted of chopping one carrot. I shall now sit back and bask in this glowy feeling of usefulness and well-being. =)))

Hmm... for once I haven't killed any flies today, unfortunately. I always feel as if I'm doing good when I kill a fly (not, I do not kill other insects, just flies because they're annoying to the extreme).

At work today i was in the store room, and this great big spider came from under the boxes and ran at me, took me by total surprise so in self defense, and fearing for my own well being i chucked the box of tissues in my hand at it. It died. =[

BtoFu/Catapharact - I appreciate that you two don't see eye to eye with each other... but please keep your bickering to PMs, if you must squabble. I've cleaned up the thread.

Yesterday, there was a bug in a spiders web. I got him out and he happily trotted away! :) .

I also saved another bug that got stuck in water, then he climbed up a peace of grass, put its mouth on the end of the peice of grass, and just died.. I saved its life and he just dies?

Good for you, (even though touching their wings (if you did) removes dust of it that it needs to fly)

I rode my bike down to a graveyard and talked to some dead people (who I dont know), i do that when I get upset about soemthing and I dot like talking about it with the living. Its nice to sit on the ground in front of a tombstone and talk to them I feel like they are really listening too (I know I am weird but I do beleive in ghosts) and you dont have to worry about them making fun of you for tellling them imberising stuff.

I find it comforting and its helped me a lot, i no longer take people I love for granit, and I am not scared of dying anymore when I think about dying now I think of being in total peace and not about missing earth or this worldly attachments.

today i just killed a black widow in fear that it would do any harm to my dogs, and saved a big roach, my dad kept yelling at me to kill it with the broom, but since he was yelling and couldnt tell me in a nicer manner i let the huge flying coackroach escape, sorta of regreting it now :pi:
