View Full Version : A day of loss

A small friend of 18 yrs has passed today. She was my mom and dads little dog and had survived them both. I know she had a good and long life but there are still tears at the moment and a pain in my heart. Loss is never easy.

Draco, thank you for staying with me last night and giveing comfort and support when the realization was fresh and raw. Your words were an ease then and they carry me now because I know you are right.

Thank you my friends, I just needed to spill a bit. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/grouphug.gif

You have my sympathy, Annacia.

A couple years ago, I've lost three dear cats in a row. One during the Christmas night, the other two during the following Summer. They were 'only' cats, but that hurted nevertheless.

I was alone back then to deal with the situation, so I can understand how Draco's support may have been crucial to you. Don't be sad and just think about the long and good life you puppy had. That's all that matters in the end.

Annacia. I am so sorry. I know how hard losing a pet can be. They are more than just pet's. they are family. Especially when we have grown up with them. I know that she is irreplaceable, but when the time feels right for you, another pet may help fill that void. Getting through tough situations like this are easier when you can let yourself laugh. Just keep up with that dry wit of yours and I'm sure things will gradually return to normal. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Im so sorry to hear that annacia, I know how it is to lose a pet. 3 years ago I lost 2 dogs in a matter of 2 weeks, it was awful. And ive lost cats birds rabbits all kinds. Lost them all in different ways. Just remember, your doggie is in a better place now, she can play with all the other dogs, lick herself all she wants (dont know about her but my dog likes it  )eat all the bones and food she wants, and also remember, she's watching over you and will always live on in all of your hearts... http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

I am so sorry for your loss :( I can feel your pain, since my horse that I've had for 11 years just passed away a few weeks ago. It is a terrible thing when a pet dies, b/c they become one in the family.

Hey Annacia,

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I can never understand people who think that a 'pet' is only a 'pet' when to people like us they are so much more. Take it steady, and remember there are a lot of people on here who have been through the same experience and can share. You are not alone!

Oh no... I'm so sorry! :( I know what you're going through!! The pain after loosing a loved one (they're not just pets) is almost unbearable, and I have lost three of these fuzzy creatures during the years. Two of which just this last months... I'm glad you have Draco to lean on because friends and family is the best help in these times of sorrow!!!

Go through all your photographs and frame the ones special to you! The joy of still seeing them every day can really help mend the pain...

Big hug coming your way!! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/hug.gif http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/hug.gif http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/hug.gif

I am sorry to hear of your loss Annacia, I know how you must be feeling as I also lost a dear friend not too long ago. I had her for 14yrs.her name was Bess, she was a cross between a Border Collie and a Red Setter and she was the most loyal and loving friend anyone could wish for. You never forget them but time eases the hurt. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/hug.gif
