View Full Version : Adding pictures
Hi. I had some photo's scanned but I don't know what to do from there. Also does anyone know how to e-mail pictures? If I wanted to send them to someone by e-mail would I just forward from my address? Thank You http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
Howdy Isabella. Do you use Microsoft Outlook (Express) or Netscape when you normally send emails?
Hi tlr. How are you? I think it must be micro soft but I'm not quite sure. I have msn so that must be it, right? http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/redface.gif
Isabella. The pictures you scanned.. where are the files/images now? Are they on a diskette or your hard drive?
They are images. GeorgeM was nice enough to scan some for me and he e-mailed them. I don't have them saved on a disc yet. Is that nessary? They are on hard drive.

You should be able to simply forward the email GeorgeM sent you to either Elen or myself, and we'll upload them to the server and reply with the image links.
Alright, thanks. Your address is on your profile, right? Is that all I nees to do if I want to send pictures to some friends as well?
Isabella. Yup. That's it. Our email here is email@example.com - I'll look out for your email.
Thanks tlr. You'll have to excuse them, they are not very good. I only like camera's after I have had something to drink. How are things going for you? Our time zones must be too far, (6 hours ahead, right?) You are never on when I am. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
All good this end. The weather is scorching hot so I spent some time on the beach. Again. ;) If you're on summer-time, then we're five hours ahead of you.
Pictures received, I'm replying with the URL now. When you receive my email and if you want to post your pictures, start a new post and select the http://www.tombraiderforums.com/forums/JCImages/scifi_image.gif image. A small window will pop up. Copy the URL I send in that box and press OK.
b/w you remind me of a famous French actress. Her name escapes me atm but I'll try to find out.

Right, five hours. I forgot about summer time change. You are lucky it's warm, It's still too cold for June over here. Do you sail?
Used to sail when I was at school/college. Awesome fun, especially on windy days.
Thanks. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif Don't ask about the sunglasses indoors. I had had about 3 glasses of wine. You should have seen the part I cut out of it. I think someone was trying to get one of my cats to drink some out of their glass.
Sailing is great. I was just starting to learn on a Catamaran(poor spelling) but I never kept up with it. You probrobly sailed on the ocean of course. I bet that was amazing! Where did you go to college?
I grew up in London and schooled in Essex, then moved to Southsea (and South Coast) to play hockey here and continue studying.
Are you still into psychology? It's so hard to actually set a course of study that you want to be with the rest of your life. There are so many interesting fields out there, I don't know how people can choose one. I'd need at least five lifetimes to do everything that I want to do. It sounds like Hockey is a strong influence in your life. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif My I have a relative living in Sussex, but unfortunatley I haven't had a chance to visit. Is Southsea near Cornwall? My geography isn't as good as it should be.
Ok, just to clarify. I recieved your e-mail, now I press forward. Then I click on add images, then write down the address for each picture, then hit send. Is that rigth? I have to run but hopefully I'll talk to you later. Thanks for all your help. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif Take Care
Southsea is South Central UK. Cornwall is South West UK. There's some great spots in Cornwall to surf, the waves are pretty cool down there. I've still a curious interest in psychology, but you're right about hockey. My sport is my prime objective. I'll probably regret that later in life but I'm doing what I love now.
Being happy in the moment is what it's all about. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif I'm still having difficulty adding the photos. I click forward, then add pictures, after that I'm not sure what to do. A URL is the address that I recieved when you sent back the photo's, right? The one below each link. Thank you.

Hi Gavman. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif No major problem. I'm just trying to figure out the final step in adding photo's to the forum. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif It's embarassing how little I know about all this stuff. How are you?
If tlr has sent u the URL's then what u do, is copy the URL he's sent and then u need to enter the topic page which I'm on now, and at the base u will see some buttons, URL EML etc down the bottom. Click on the IMG button and a window will pop up at the top of the screen, right click in the space provided and choose paste, ur URL from the e-mail will then be in the URL window. Click ok, then continue typing your post and add reply as usual.
Hope that was explained clear enough,.. lol.
As for me, not been too well today, but I'm much better now, just going for a drink then I'll be right back http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif
Bye Gavman. Thanks for trying to help. I think I may understand, but after what you explained, I'm lost again. Take Care, I'm glad you are feeling better.
TLR, you mean the water's fine in England!? :D
Just kidding, my homeland is North Brittany and I think we share the same Channel - which didn't feel *that* cold... when you were used to it! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
I've got it. I was making it too difficult. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/redface.gif

Gavman, If you could, please me know when you are going to play quake again. It sounds interesting. And if I know ahead of time then I can restart the download. I could use a lot of shooting and chaos, it must be a good stress reliever. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
I never thought of it like that. It's down to tlr or lil' kid to hoste the game, when they do we can play.
A note in advance tho, its the most crazy game u'll ever play... hehe.
