Hello everyone! I'm new to playing the Tombraider games and to gaming in general. You maybe all laugh but I just recently purchased a PS1 and the first three Tombraider games (I'm old okay hehe). Needless to say I am a Tombraider addict. I was wondering if anyone can recommend some other Tombraider type games for PS1. Thank you!

i highly recomend TR4. i thought it was much, much longer than the other TR games and its challenging as well.

also, buy AoD. it got bashed a lot, but its still worth buying IMO http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Welcome, Kristen! No one is considered old here! :D

also, buy AoD. it got bashed a lot, but its still worth buying IMO AoD is only for the PS2, and only for the ultra patient and experienced TR player in my opinion, since load times are excrutiatingly long. Good story tho, and I did buy it!

Kristen:
I simply adored Parasite Eve and Parasite Eve 2. They are worth finding, and they are cheap! They are a little scary at times, but not too bad.

If you like scary, I recommend the Resident Evil games and Silent Hill. Also, Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2 are very fun.

Don't feel http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/redface.gif for buying a PS1, there are loads of great games that will keep you busy for weeks for the PS1! Have fun! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

welcome Kristen http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif

Some ps1 games still have better playability than PS2 so there's nothin to feel http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/redface.gif about as Shan said.
I quite enjoyed Lagacy of Kain Soul reaver on the ps1, that was in a similar vein to TR but with a more gothic feel, and u get to devour the souls in the underworld http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif nice puzzles too

I became so frustrated with my main weapon. I hated how when I threw the spear, I had to go pick it up again. This was terribly frustrating in a group of baddies.

Did I miss something? Could he stab with it without throwing it?

hehe, yeah he can spear them with it, kinda messy really.
I dont have it any more, but I think you had to tap the square button three times before pressing triangle or somethin.
