Eurovision Song Contest 2004: 15th May, Istanbul.

Have you heard any song? Any prediction? I think Belgium has done a great job!!

I was wondering if the people from the other continents watch this contest http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Turkey won last year, so why isn't it being held in Turkey this year? Last year's winner is supposed to host it the next year

the most boring part of the whole contest is voting... its purely... well.. political. its kinda funny cause usually every country gets highest ratings from their neighbours http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/redface.gif

But I don't think it's political. It's more something like "brother countries". Cyprus always gets our highest rate and we always get theirs. You know, the same language http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Here is a link to the BBC coverage of Eurovision 2004 (http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/eurovision/2004/index.shtml). http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/c-3.gif

Don't forget to check out the Terry Wogan section (http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/eurovision/2004/fun_games/terryisms.shtml). The only worthwhile comments on the contest. ;)

Elen, it's funny you should mention "brother countries", Terry Wogan our Eurovision presenter, makes a comment about the Greece/Cyprus scores every year. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif
TR-P, I saw a clip of Estonia's entry. It's um....interesting. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif

Half of it is Greek. But if you mean something else, then your presenter means about the other half ;) http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif

Nat, LOL :D
