View Full Version : Let us finish the level if we fail a time trial

This is such an annoying thing in this game. If we are unable to finish a time trial within the time limit I think we should have the option of continuing the level. A good example of this being an annoyance is in St Francis Folly. A superb level, the best TR level ever imo. Its also the hardest one to do in time trial. When I failed I failed by quite a bit. I always want to finish this superb level to the end. But no it wont let you once the time runs out. Its just annoying. It would also be quite good to continue the level if we fail because then we know exactly how much we're failing by. Anyone agree?

I agree. The options should be:

Continue Level
Restart Time Trial
Quit Game

I agree. I found that quite annoying in the beginning.

Actually I think it makes perfect sense. If you want to replay the level for what it is you can chose that option. When you select Time Trial the only purpose is to finish it within that time, if you can't, there's no point in going on. Also, the level ending abruptly adds to the frustration which is cool. :D

And me too, it gives more practice in the level your trying to finish and it would give you a good indecation on how long you have to shorten your gameplay by.

I agree...after all that's the entire point of the TT concept.

Yes, I agree with this request.

Even better IMO: cut out the time trials completely. :ton: ------> :off:

I've never played anniversary but I have to ask, what is time trial? Is there a time limits on the normal gameplay levels, or is it an optional extra akin to the secret challenges in the masion level. :o

After you have won the game, you have the option of going back and replaying levels with a time limit. If you successfully complete all of the levels in a location within the time limits, then you unlock cheat codes. There is no time limit during normal gameplay, though :)

Well let us make that decision for ourselves. If we decide there's no point going on then thats our decision and if we decide we want to continue the level just for fun let us.

The time trials mean that in practice, everytime you play this game you play it twice. (if you want to complete it obviously). I used to find it pointless but now I like it and when I want to play for a short time just to pass time, I love the time trials challenge. Having to complete a level in time is a more intense objective than just replaying the level.
What I would like is that the relics and artifacts didn't disappear when you replay the levels and I would like that the time trials included getting them. :D

Yes, lets take away something that adds replay value for alot of people because it doesn't add replay value for some people. Thats not selfish at all
