Oh, boy. A gun thread to tickle my gun knowledge.

I'll honestly be surprised if Lara ends up handling the Desert Eagle .357s in the next game. Those pistols are HEAVY, and difficult to aim let alone fire. They'd have to be powerful too. USP is a .45 pistol, but it certainly didn't fire like one in the game. It just didn't have that extra punch. It felt more like firing a Glock or a semi-automatic Walther-type weapon.

I don't like 9mm pistols. They're weak and they can't go through walls like the others do.

It would be nice if the player had a choice of which weapon to fire. Some of my personal favorites are this:

Actually, Angel of Darkness and Legend were both based off those pistols which were originally introduced in the original tomb raider film.

Well, I don't know that much about guns but I do know that they're heavy and most kick like a mule. I didn't like how Lara's arms barely moved when she fired her weapons. There is no way that most people could fire two guns at the same time or even one gun with one hand. But Lara's not most people so I like the Anniversery guns, just give them a little more kick. :)

And yet some of you people scream for realism. :rolleyes: Let's be realistic for a sec. Have you ever tried using a Desert Eagle? They're big, their heavy, and they have a lot of recoil. Firing one with two hands is hard enough, firing two with one in each hand would be impossible.

(Note: I've never fired a gun at all, but I know that the DE is a tough gun)
