Ralf Schumacher is to leave Williams-BMW and sign for Renault, according to his manager Willi Weber. Weber said the 28-year-old driver, who finished fourth at the Australian Grand Prix, had already agreed details with Renault supremo Flavio Briatore. "Every point of the contract has already been discussed," Weber is quoted as saying in the German newspaper, Bild am Sonntag. "The signing of the contract is now a mere formality."

Ralf, the younger brother of six-times world champion Michael, has been unhappy at Williams for some time.

"Even if me and my manager Willi Weber would find it hard to leave behind our friends at BMW, there's a chance it could happen," he admitted recently.

"It would be sad but I can't allow myself to be treated like that by Williams. But I find it hard to understand certain things that have happened these past few months." Schumacher claimed that Williams accused him of only being interested in money. "Frank Williams says I'm nothing but a money-grabber. I can only laugh at that. "He knows that I would accept to cut my current salary in half," added the driver, who finished fourth in the drivers championship last season.

wow, I wonder when this move will take place. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/yikes.gif
I hope its so he can be in renault for the malaysian gp.

I guess Trulli is out of luck - probably be an over paid test driver, unless Williams do a swap.

I wonder if Jenson Button would be called back to Williams, I know he was lent from Williams to Renault but I dont know if they still have him on loan, espcially now he's BAR's No. 1

still it will brighten things up a bit in the season, because Oz was http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/sleepy.gif .
Renault will be a force to be reckoned with now they have the new more powerful engine and Ralf and Alonso.
I cant wait to see what happens :D
