The next drawing i have already scetched roughly is Conan (the babarian) ready for action. At his side there is a terrified damsel in distress. And well she is terrfied by the distress itself ... WhichI a m not so sure whats it going to be... But I thin i will go for the classic in the conan franchise - a giant snake :D

But I admit I prefer Kull's character to Conan's But there arent that many books about Kull...

I suppose you already know but i'm not a Kurtish's fan but i must say you have your talent, you combine colors very well and have skill for proportions, specially in Conan's one. Heavy metal's a great work too, hope to see more :)

I made a devian art profile :) there you can see the new TR pic I am working on. Underworld lara fighting against Cerberus. The picture is still in a very early stage but I think it started to go wrong. Thats why I need advice on anything in order to make it better. I ill definetely change the left leg ASAP but honestly i dont liek anything in it. Advice pls :)

Actually behind lara its not visible fromwhat I have shown but there is cerberus' tail and light. I defided the pic showing that lara is the good (light) and cerberus is the dar and evil. and I am planning on making it like a whole as if lara is oing in teh underworld and add some hints of a door to the underworls and maybe mayan symbols :) No link with cerberus but at least the game is in mayans territory.
But I still need advice.

I know it does :o I really didnt ahve time to amke a new entry for teh competition so I edited lara vs cerberus into this - I idnt have time because I made this till 2 am and I had to get up at 6:30 am in the morning :( Now i cna barely keep my eyes open and its valentines day! :( But the pic turned out to look ok

Its in my deviantart profile but its still not done yet. I am taking a break from it so that I can see my mistakes clearly and then fix them :) And its not 2 giant wolves its Cerberus :p The 2-headed dog from greek myths. guardian of their underworld. :p :p :p

yes I did - but later I will add more detail and maybe I will try figuring out how textures work in photoshop :D will try to make it more mat.
BTW I am trying to figure out a background for this pic. any advice? i came up with this hall with a throne at the background and at teh sides statues of...snakes... i dont want to draw snames again but only they are in my mind for some reason...there is something wring with me :pi:

I hope this is ok this time - I have done almost nothing on the woman (hid the nipples) but I worked on teh background a lot. Do you think I should add another row of pillars in t eh distance to add more depth? WIll curtains be in order? ANd how can I make proper see-though cloth!?!??

Thanks... but its a bit less then 8 times the head put on the whole body. the size by darwing laws should be fine :o
I was thinking shoulder wise :p since as far as women go (if I'm not mistaken= the shoulders should be 2 heads long or one and a half. Yours is almost 3. It's just that teeny bit X_X :p but yes, in terms of height, it's fine.

Well as far as the background goes, a few columns in the back (even if faded) would definitely add more depth without detracting from your character in the center. Something that doesn't stand out too much but that adds to the depth. A nice stone floor would help too :p as far as the fabric... I really have no advice, you seem to be doing well so far.

Yes I iwlldefinetely then add anoyer row... and more shadows... I will blus the pillars so that the pic consentrates on the woman. Yes a floor iwll also be in order but I am having difficulties with making one :D

Thanks this comes just in time because I am fixing teh shadows as we speak. I changed the lightsourse and its pretty much comming from behind but its not teh only light sourse. And I have never used the liquify tool I will check it out :)

Photoshop CS3 + a Wacom Intuos 3 graphic tablet.
But the programme doesn't matter so much as long as you know what you are doing with it. If you buy a Wacom tablet you receive free with it Corel Painter, and I have heard its very good, though I have never used it because I don't want to waste the time to learn using another programme when I know quite a lot about Photoshop.

The image is great. But if the colour troubles you I should say that I part I think could be better is the doppelhoe skin... try to make it very very slightly redish

Thanks! the trivk is to use reference or things I have no clue how to make. for example I don't know how to draw Latex/leather properly. I made the latex leotard on my own but wasn't completely satisfied, but I didn't like the pants, so I took a pic with leather pants and redrew it :D
Have in mind I am still learning to draw :p

It might add a little something to have a hint of an orange outline around the dopplehoe like the fire is glowing behind her, but other than that I'd say it looks finished :tmb:

the reason for making it is because nowadays... poeple seem to forget who Lara really is! this is how she looks like! how she should act and we haven't had fanart of the REAL Lara in a looooooong time. SO I think its about time she gets a pic like that for her bday! :)
