View Full Version : Jungles of India - two old retireds!
We are doing our best...but we are stuck in the room full of water. we found the block, pushed and pulled, but no door seems to be opening???? How do we proceed?
robit- pull the block twice from its starting position. The square lattice-work door nearest to you will now open. Enter & go right to the end; ignore the dark side chambers - there's nothing worth picking up there. At the far end, you'll find a lever - pull it. This causes a trap door to open, which is on the other side of the block you moved. Go there, and enter the water. Head to the left and enter another flooded chamber, where you'll find a walkway with levers at either end. Pull them both, one of them raises an underwater gate giving access to the first flooded chamber, the other opens the second square lattice-work door. Swim back to the first chamber (pick up the flares from the central pillar if you didn't get them earlier) and go into the corridor revealed by the opening of the second door. At the end you'll find another lever. Pull it, and the outside area where you battled the two tigers is now flooded.
Good luck !!
Thank YOU! We have finally made it to the temple ruins...and if we can find the passageway out of the pirranah infested area, we will feel very successful. Thanks for helping two "old-timers" who are truly enjoying playing this game. You are a gem!
Your route out of this section is through the underwater lattice-work gate that you can see from the pillar in the middle of the flooded area. To open this gate, you need to go and pull the lever that that's on the wall in the far right corner from the tunnel exit where you killed the two monkeys.
This site has very good walk-throughs for every level in the game (so you might want to bookmark it): Stella's Site (http://www.tombraiders.net/stella/index.html)
