The US are lucky enough to own the 5-disc edition of Blade Runner in a gorgeous briefcase with other goodies. :)

The UK, on the other hand, aren't so lucky. Instead it's packaged in a metal tin case, with less goodies.

Nooooooooooooo!!!
I wanted the brief case. Not some run-of-the-mill metal casing!

Somebody e-mailed Warner complaining. Apparently, it's not available?

The replica spinner and unicorn are also missing from the UK 5-disc set. HMV are including an exclusive spinner keyring with their copies, though. :D

Of course it isn't available. It's only available for a few million copies in the United Frickin' States! Eeeeeeeeeeverybody loves the United Frickin' States.

Agreed. The UK seems to always be cheated around when it comes to DVD's.

I feel in the mood to watch the Director's Cut on VHS tonight! :D Watched some yesterday, actually. :)

Eh, I'm not surprised by this. The UK always gets ripped-off.

@Dale: And consoles. For example, the PS3 is cheaper practically everywhere else in the world.

Hardly. Plus our set is only 18...so who cares about something that won't fit in your shelf anyway. :pi:

I could never see why director cuts, changes to this film, or a load of extras was ever neccessary, except of course to make a load more bucks.

I only ever saw the origional with no extras, as this film was just perfect, as origionally shown in the cinema.

Australia's getting it too mind you. :D Perhaps some retailer will pick up the rights to the briefcase in the UK. I'll get the Region one for Christmas...no use in caking your pants in anticiaption just yet.
