Am I the only one who thinks that the sad prince of country, as I usually call him, Johnny Cash, has got a unique aura?
And Freddie Mercury? He ain't a simple singer to me. My hat's off to him.
And I don't think that their likes and lifestyles should be discussed more than their music, now that they've passed.
So what about you? What are the greatest voices ever for you?
Regards.

True,

Oh and Sharon (can't remember her last name.), the lead singer for Within Temptation, it's angelic! :yik:

And males: Johnny Depp, and Eric Loren.

Johnny, I associate his voice with him, and he is brilliant. :D

Eric: Has such a cool voice, especially when he does Kurtis with an American accent. :tmb:

Funny, Johnny Cash just started playing when I opened this thread...

Hmm, can't name any but I really like low, deep and grand male voices.. ^_^
To be honest I kind of tend to get rather irritated when listening to someone really high-pitched singing, dunno. O_o

I think Avril has a unique voice. :p I like the way how she can pronounce a word and make it somethign different.. or just the way she sings things. And when its a sow song her voice sounds nice a soft.

I too think Beyonce has a very unique voice. Its strong but nothing like whats out there at the moment.

Ooh.. and Jonell Elliot. Sexiest lara ever. XD

Right. I just thought that it would be clear, as I mentioned singing voices.
So, everyone, I mean SINGING voices.

As for singing voices, my favorite is obviously Emilie Autumn.

Kerry Ellis and Liam Mower (from musicals, Wicked and Billy Elliot respectively)

I also like Gordon Brown's voice, as random as it may seem. I just don't like what he says!

Peter Steele from Type O Negative - soooo deep and soooo gorgeous, it makes me go all shivery just thinking about it... :cln:

Other nice deep voices that make me dribble: Michael Wincott (The Crow, Alien Resurrection, Strange Days), Jason Momoa (Ronon Dex in Stargate Atlantis), Simon Templeman (guy who voices Kain in LoK games), the chappie who voiced Vincent in Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus (dunno is name, but I could listen to him all day... :o), Christopher Lee ('God' :D), Andrew Eldritch (Sisters of Mercy).

Special mention goes to Mike Patton (don't make me list all the bands he's in...) - so versatile... :o

Female voices: Mire N Bhraonin (main singer from Clannad), Beth Gibbons (Portishead), Shelley Blonde (original Lara, followed by Jonelle Elliot), Christina Scabbia (Lacuna Coil).

:) I like voices...

Woow I've got so many favorite voices... My top ones are

- Gerard Way
- Chino Moreno
- Matthew Bellamy
- Brandon Flowers
- Till Lindemann
- Tori Amos
- Maynard James Keenan

I tend to prefer male voices for some reason, Tori is the only female here. :o

Also, sometimes what matters to me is not just the technical quality of the voice itself, but the way the singer uses the voice he/she has. That's why Chino is so high in my list (his voice is not very strong but he sings in an amazing and unique way).

Anastacia -

Such a strong and unique voice, probably one of the best in the world :tmb: :) :tmb:

Madonna -

Totally unique also, even when speaking, even if it's not strong or
anything, it's very identifiable and entertaining :)

Urgh, Amy Lee is so overrated IMO. :p

:tmb: Totally agree, she's ok, but she's hardly amazing.
