Hey everyone :wve:

I've just been discussing with someone from here *cough*miaow*cough*
about Anastacia and her unique vocals. What does everyone here think of
her ? I think she's amazing, and i really anticipate her new album.

She's one of the few singers, who can sing like and sound just like they
do on a CD without lip synching...

Anastacia's vocals... :

Her voice annoys me, unique though!Indeed. Don't like her, but it's not like she's overrated or anything. Unlike some female singers *cough*AmyLee*cough* :whi: :p

*agrees with amy comment*

I just think her range is amazing, and she hits notes really well, with
lovely attitude and lyrics :)

*explodes at chris*

YOU NEED TO SHOW PERFORMANCES TO SHOWCASE HER VOICE! :p

I love her voice - very Tina Turner, Macey (spelling) gray style, but good :D

"thats right it really IS me singing the begining bit" haha love it! Shes got a great voice! I still remember one of her songs coming on the TV and my grandad saying "ooh no, shes straining her voice, thats awful"

I dont agree with him though, i think its an age thing haha I also dont think shes straining to do anything.

To be honest I've never looked. And I don't care to either. :)

99% of singers I've heard live have turned out to be a fragment of the voices that appear in the "reality" that they sell. The CD's they sell, that's what I listen to and that's what I like.

Why listen to a not-so-good microphoned echo-y version accompanied by the cheers of thousands of fools who'd rather strain their voices screaming "OH MY GOD IT'S *insert band name here* instead of actually listening to the performer/s.

Not to rain on your mini parade or anything, I just prefer actual recordings.

Well that's why you listen to professional recordings and now ones taken on mobile phones... lol

I do listen to professional recordings, hence those videos I posted.
I just don't go searching for recordings of live performances for the reason I stated - the performers are rarely as good as they are in the 'professional recordings'. And for that reason, I'd rather listen to the "professional recordings."

Sorry to rain on your parade, but she never seems to hit a true note. I've listened to several of her recordings and every single one has me praying for her to inch just that little bit higher/lower than she actually is doing :p :hea:

Annoying as hell.

Er... and? CDs don't tune themselves

Use a tuning fork next time you listen ;)

Sorry for grumbling - there's apparenty no cure http://getmesmileys.com/smilies/cool0019.gif

Maybe, looking at the odds, you're wrong ? :whi:

CDs don't tune themselves

Lol actually, singers use " autotune " features :)

It takes all sorts David ;)

For true notes, watch the Sound of Music; tonal perfection, even though it might not be on MTV's Hottie list 2007.

I know exactly what you mean.

Though I hate that sometimes.. When I'm watching shows, I'm always anxious because performers keep going sharp or flat. It really annoys me XD
