Going up without killing Spider boss

I don't know if this has come up before...but just for kicks...I stunned the boss guy and climbed up the ladder (or stone grooves or whatever :D ) before he came to his senses and then managed to stun him again by crouching at an awkward angle on the ledge where Lara comes out after crawling through the ice tunnel and using the desert eagle.

After swinging to the next ledge I didn't have to worry abt. stunning him because the next jump (the ledge at 2 o clock) can be done swiftly without the boss guy shooting his blue firebolts. From there getting to the top is easy

But when I got to the final grate (the one leading to the helipad) it was closed, so it
turned out to be pretty much of a washout :D :D :D)

Now I have to figure out a way to get the Quad bike out into the mansion without using a patch or a savegame.... ;)
Any tips or suggestions more than welcome

i've tried doing that - as it see it the only way you could do it would be to drive straight up the hedge though if you drive full speed at one of the corners it might be possible.

About that gettin past the final boss.. the door on the helipad opens after some time, like you have to wait for some time.. are you sure you waited enough?
