Guys, after hearing about it, ...waiting for it - it is finaly here!! - Digital Pay-TV is to be launched tomorrow in Australian major cities.

Foxtel will be turning its Digital signals on tomorrow, March 12th 2004, and access to the new network of channels, intereactive channel guides and array of sorted features will be made available to its subscribers. Digital Quality Picture and CD quality sound, Games and many many more features...

With this comes Foxtel Box Office (FBO) - a new way to see the new releases you would rent from your local video store. The interactive channel will allow you, for a cost of round about AU$5.95 per movie, to instantly view a large selection of new release movies. Charged straight to your bill and from the convienience of your couch.

New interactive sports channels (Fox Sports, Fox Footy) will also be made available with the ability to instantly change camera angels, view player stats and view replays and special features - with this, the power is in your hands.

More "Timeshift" channels will be made available (like Showtime and Showtime2 - with a +2 hours difference) on channels such as Fox8 and TV1.

24 audio music channels will also be made available to subscribers with many genres available. interactive news channels are also available much like the interactive sports channels - with the ability to choose from a wall of news the story you want to hear.

So many features dont come cheap!! - ive had to stretch my already stretched entertainment budget further - but i guess with my internet bill being slashed by AU$20 for a better service (go figure) ill survive... - i think it will be well worth the cost and the wait...

But ill tell you now - get in quick if you wish to get this soon because i recently subscribed (last weekend) and i have to wait until April 29th!!! till a technician comes out to swap topset boxes... http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/privateeye.gif

Now make sure you pass the digital through the vcr so you can record those Pay-Per-View movies ;) http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif
