Do the kids like it or is it painful to them? I cant tell if they are having fun or are yelling in fear?

I remember it happening with me too! Ahh, what a pity that the upper class students made it feel like we're in the legion...

@Greenkey and others - There's a tradition in some countries that when a class enters the first year of Secondary school, the class who are one year older than them can give the first class orders, and the first class has to do what they say, or they get a really, really bad punishment.

It can be really entertaining, or very bad. It depends on the orders you get... I remember us having to wear bikini in the school for a whole week... :P

:yik: This doesn't seem fun to me at all. It's fun with the funny little things, but can you choose whatever you want them to do? The bikini thing seems pretty embarassing.

I'm just happy we don't have this. Phew.

They used to do it here in South Africa but they banned it because they think that it discriminates against Human Rights. I think that it is fun and a good way to make the newcomers in the school feel welcome and part of the school.

You can choose anything you want them to do, as long the headmaster of the first class allows it. So no painful or humiliating orders. :)
