October 26th will mark the last video-game platform release (for the PSP) of the Anniversary series of port games. Perhaps this is assurance that the development efforts of the entire CD team will be wholly devoted to TR8 from now on. Heck, who knows when the Anniversary ports were actually finished being developed? In any case, I think I can release a sigh of relief now that things don't seem to be so hectic for CD now. More reason for me to expect no short of an epic, authentic TR experience from their latest game in development.

Ha... Knowing EIDOS, they'll have some of the team working on TR9...

...So things may still be a little hectic... :p

:)

Completely forgot they were releasing it on PSP. Will anyone actually play that?

I don't think there ever was a PSP avertisment that got my attention. Now that you said it, who knows, maybe around a fourth of the team is already conceptualizing the last of the Legend trilogy. By around this time, CD should at least have an outline of the levels, and a tentative model for Lara.

I'd like to repeat that Justin has stated he has got screenshots. Its just a case of waiting till Anniversary is released on every platform possible :)

Yes, just like what I said. TR8 is very much on the way, now that all the Anniversary ports are finished. CD can REALLY devote their time to developing TR8, and that's also why I wouldn't be surprised if Justin may already have some screenies. :)

I know i'm not the only one who feels this. But i really hope they have scrapped the idea of a TRILOGY for the legend storyline. IMO that story needs tying up ASAP and can esily be concluded in TR8. They should really work on something new for TR9s story...

And also, I wish developers these days would stop with this 'multi-game' storylines. They should start, and finish a storyline instead of dragging them out.

...grrr.

Are you saying that Justin has TR8 screens? Or just some of the PSP edition of Anniversary?

I am positive, Justin said he's already said he's seen some of TR8 and Lara looks great. Something along those lines, so surely that implies he's got some media :D

How is Oct 26th the end of anything? There will still be the XBox live downloadable version released in November. And once Anniversary and all its different versions is finished that team will probably start something else, there is already a separate team working on Tomb Raider 8, the team that was working on Anniversary will as someone else mentioned likely start on Tomb Raider 9, or perhaps a Wii version of Tomb Raider 8.

Nice :tmb:

Hopefully once all these ports of Anniversary (which i still think are completely unnecessary) are released, then maybe the TR8 magic will arrive.... :p

We have already been told there will be no TR8 media till next year, l would not get your hopes up to much about seeing anything this early.

Just to clarify, I didn't say this early, I'm talking about Janurary next year :)

You forgot that there's still the Wii version !
God I want them to finish with TRA, I want them to put ALL their work on TR8.

I was pertaining to the development phase of the Anniversary ports that required perhaps at least a fourth of the entire CD team. We already have actual release dates for the additional versions of Anniversary, and they all aren't so far off anymore, which leads me personally to believe that they're done with the finer details of developing those other versions.

And, yes, I did forget about the Wii version :P. Nevertheless, I'm confident that the main focus of CD now is TR8 now that TRA is out of the way. :)
