View Full Version : Could they have fixed the flaws in the 360 version?
Maybe Crystal Dynamics looked at the reviews, and decided to fix the flaws like the enemies getting stuck in their running animation, and the unforgiving camera in a small area. Maybe.

That's what I thought. The 360 could've been a good chance to remove certain flaws. Dull, colourless locations? Improved colour for the 360 version. Awkward controls and camera? Improved camera system for the 360 version.
Thought I doubt CD actually went ahead and did this. ;)
It does look colourful looking at the trailer. :)

Actually, the game looks quite colorful judging from the trailer. At least, more colorful than the other versions. We wouldn't be able to judge the camera and controls though, since none of us have played it.

Yes, the trailer does boast better colour. Though personally I doubt it's a major difference.

Yeah, trailers is just for the purposes of attracting attention with a couple of cutscene FMV's and 3D graphics - but once you start playing the actual game, it wasn't what you expected.
Maybe a few flaws would have gone, but there might be new ones.
I hope they have but I can't see this game being "glitch-less". :(
We´re talking about lazy CD here ;-) Not to mention they´re not doing the conversion directly :)

How are CD lazy, they are working their tails of to keep us happy, they have managed to give us 2 games in less than 2 years, the third is in the works for next year. They have done two graphical versions of both games, plus the Wii version of Anniversary. They are anything but lazy
And on a decent PC there were no bugs to speak of, so there will be none in the XBox360 version. All Tomb Raider games have had clipping and collision problems, no game is going to be perfect.

I think CD and Eidos are concentrating to much on the Wii version, and not enough on the 360 version:D thats my guess, lets hear if yours is any better
The Wii version is considerably different to the others, and on a platform Tomb Raider has never been seen on before, so they are trying to advertise it as much as they can. Their advertising for the XBox360 version is mainly on XBox live, besides they know most people who brought Legend for the XBox360 will buy Anniversary.
Keep in mind that TRA on 360 does not mean next-gen. It is not going to be next generation.
There were some enemy issues with TRA, namely wolves that would get stuck at the portal of a door running, instead of going thru the door and attacking. But mostly, the game ran pretty smoothly.
I found that tweaking setting for the graphics card enhanced the colors significant, eliminating much of the "washed out" appearance of CD's Tomb Raiders.
