There are no textures where the Doppleganger comes from. But it looks as if she was following you as soon as you set foot onto Natla's Mines.

Yes! If you fall through the map with the fly tool, she will fall off the map with you. If you fly high in the sky, she will fly high in the sky with you -> http://tomb-raider-anniversary.com/tomb-raider-anniversary-cheats/fly_mode_wall_hack/

Since you were not supposed to be where the Doppleganger was when you first saw her, the level ends at that point and there will be no textures (sorry don't have save to show you, and thus cannot make screeny). But it looks like a orange-colored void on the ground like this when you fall through the map in Natla's Mines:

Jumping allows Lara and the Doppleganger to fall through and crouch under this object,

There are no (rather limited) textures where the Doppleganger came from. It's possible that it could have been following you since the whole game - at least in the "Lost Island" levels.
