http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif Hello everyone, I'm new here, looks like a great forum, I'm looking forward to joining in.

I've almost done AoD for the second time and I'm just wondering what games others play? I was playing Vice City before AoD but I'd like to play another Tombraider 'type' game. Does anyone have any suggestions of a good puzzle based one?

Cheers in advance :D

well i dunno about TR-like games, but Grand Theft Auto Vice City is a fun game :D :D so is Maxy Payne, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, and the new Matrix game. [i dont have it but some of my friends do and love it!]

res.evil: dead aim, silent hill 2, and fatal frame, those are great puzzle games. All of them are pretty scary though. Fatal frame is pretty fun cause you have to solve puzzles and use your camera to kill ghosts, it may not sound fun but it really is!. The other games are puzzle solvers too!

KiwiGirl, do you own a PC or PS2??

Hi KiwiGirl, I suggest you give a try to Parasite Eve and Parasite Eve 2--they are for the Playstation or PS2. Very good games. Also, along with Resident Evil, I suggest Dino Crisis 1 and 2.

I also loved Dark Cloud and Dark Cloud 2--superb adventures that are similar to the Zelda series.

I think TR is out there on is own, i dont know anything similar at all. TR is my favourite game and the nearest i can get to it is, Metal gear solid, resident evil or Syphon filter

SplinterCell is AWESOME, but it is not puzzles though. It's more action, but I DEFINATELY recommend it

If you want a game that close to TR, Drakan:TAG,Indiana Jones or P.N.03 is games. P.N.03 is what I see as Capcom's answer to TR.

The Sims is a really fun game, but not like Tomb Raider at all....
Welcome! Hope you like it here. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif

the only game in recent years i've seen which is like TR is Oni ... not a very well known or liked game. But it certainly is/was very fun to play.

That Product No. 3 sounds and looks totally different to TR - and really i don't expect many games in the future to take on the similar platforming puzzle adventure that Tomb Raider has provided.

there are alot of good games out there, just none which even come close to TR ... although Dino Crisis was pretty close, would've been great if it had of had proper 3D interaction with the world.
Lets just hope DinoCrisis:Genome can give us some better action on that front.

Thank you everyone, there's some great suggestions here, I'll check them out.

I should have said that I've got a PS2 as well - but I'm an idiot and forgot

Thanks again everyone, *KG is off to the games shop* :D

Hi KiwiGirl! For PS2 try "Primal"--very much like TR in some ways, and very enjoyable. Other very fun games; 3rd person action/adventure, but not like Tomb Raider, are "Ratchet & Clank" and "Jak & Daxter". http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

At the moment I'm on Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb in between TRAOD. Primal for the PS2 isn't a bad game, but I found the ending a bit bland. Lots of fighting and puzzle solving. :D
