It's a lot more mysterious than a direct name of what the game is about.

I just had a thought. At the end of alot of trailers for game it says when the game is coming out. Do you think at the end of this trailer it will say the month its coming out? I'm hoping for "Coming February 2008" at the end of the trailer.

This is because its one of the main games, like gta1-2-3.. I suppose Vice City/San Andreas where just side stories, but maybe the characters will be important in future GTA games, maybe. :)

San Andreas was widely considered the ps2's best game. if thats not a main game, i don't know what is.

The game is set in Liberty City. Thats why its called IV. Every game with a number as its title was set in Liberty City. What else do you expect it to be called? GTA: Liberty City? GTA IV is the most appropriate name.
We've already had GTA:Liberty City Stories, I think people would get confused IMO.

That was sooooo annoying. I had literally been watching the clock count down for like an hour only to see a blank screen. Then I just left it and watched it in the morning. Hopefully it wont happen this time. I dont think it happened with the second trailer did it? I'm mainly hoping the release date will be revealed at the end of the trailer.

I've watched it twice. Once on Gametrailers and once on my 360. This looks like Grand Theft Auto at its finest. Better than San Andreas? Maybe. The fact I'm even saying maybe shows my high expectations. For it to be better than SA it has to be the best game ever made.

Of course "New York 2007" is lame, but that was just an example. It could anything. Games isn't named by numbers anymore, a very few of them are. To bring back the numbers to the TR games would be a disaster IMO. The GTA series might actually be the only game the number still sort of suits because it's one of the main games, but I think it would be better with a name.

i felt the new trailer looked rather bad................clearly from the shoddy PS3 version like i expected, the first two trailers looked smooth and clean,this new one was just rough looking and i saw jaggies
either R* put MORE effort into the PS3 version or i won't buy it....simple as, if this new trailer did come from the PS3 version....
i for one am NOT at all impressed :mad:

360 is the lead console,meaning the PS3 will be a cheap knock off,a game that is passable but not of 360 quality,a version made during the tea breaks of 360 one :D

Too right. I haven't experienced any framerate issues or bugs on the 360 version. :) I've heard the PS3 version has got loads of problems, but I'm not sure if it's true.

ok here's a simple question
Q:why has the PS3 version been kept under lock and key? not a single piece of footage in any form shown?(images in PS mags are actually from the 360 build)
the fact no PS3 footage has been seen speaks volumes don't you think?? :D
