View Full Version : Help with St. Francis Folly
Please help!!!! I have entered the room and climbed up the column, came to the mural, shot the correct stones to open the door and I went through that door, ran up the wall and went into an alcove where I was asked to brush away the wall to reveal another mural with additional stones lit up. When i go back to the large mural to shoot the stones I saw in the alcove mural, it won't open the gate up to let the ball out. HELPPPPPP!!!!!

I guess you're playing on Wii from the "brush". So I'm not sure it really applies here, because I don't have that version. But maybe you could just step on the stone on the ground ? So that all the lightd would light off and then fire them again ?

Try this...step on the square again, as Clara suggested, and press the up direction on the wiimote. At the puzzle, you need to draw the symbol in one fluid motion so that the lines connect on one motion. The sybol for this one is ORION, so start at the belt and then do the outline. This should take care of it.
Feel free to PM me if you need any help! I have beaten the game and have all rubbings.
OK IM ABOUT TO KILL MYSELF! I have a very similar problem, except im stuck on the third puzzle (the one that opens the gate of the artifact 1). Actually the second one (orion) I couldnt do it either, my 9 year old nephew draw it God knows how.
I draw it exactly as its showed in the pic on the ceiling, but the gate wont open!
HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!

the wii version has puzzles re designed so u can use the wii mote n the wii motion bar. in this one, instead of shooting the diamonds, u have to "draw" the constellation using the wii mote n instead of diamonds r lights, which r located differently. i draw the pattern shown on the ceiling but it just dont work. there must be something im doing wrong but i cant find what it is, the pattern is like a 9 :hea:

I have the same problem. The second puzzle was like that too. Somehow I got it to work, but I'm stuck on the third. The wii is too hard.

I DID IT! the gate finally open! u have to do first the second puzzle (orion) n then the third one n the gate will open. dont know why, but i did once more the pattern of the second one n the gate that leads to the sphere open once more (the ut scene that is) n when i did the third one next, the gate with the artifact open. :jmp:

i still think its weird that u hae to do teh 2nd one 2 times, i mean they even close up the clearly open gate that leads to the sphere in the cut scene.

on the wii version of st francis folly i am stuck on the 2nd puzzle which you have to draw the hour-glass shape. I have tried it 40 maybe 50 times, i have gone back to the little room, and copied the design on paper, i have gone onto the tomb raider demo video and copied it from there, but it WONT WORK !! :hea:
the gates to the room with the golden sphere will not go up! all my friends have tried the puzzle and haven't been able to do it so i know its not me...
do you think there could be a glitch in the wii game? it not a copy... i bought it from bing lee.
please please help me ive been stuck on this bit of the game for nearly a month now!
thank you =] xxx

you are a darling!! thanks Dinahcat!~
i am replaying the game and all of this is very helpful!
If you are playing the Wii version all I can say is GOOD LUCK because no TR SITE seems to give a FLYING :cen: about it! It like they dont want to know! I had to rely on my PS2 knowledge and figure out the new puzzles and controls my self because no site seems to want to know about it! Not CHRONICLES, NOT STELLAS nowhere had a walkthrough for the Wii it was all for the PS2 and Xbox versions which are totally different! It is like this, Oh the Wii is ment to be so crap that we cant be bothered! In fact nowhere mentions the treasure room in the mansion either. Stella does mention it and the rubbings but says you get nothing for it. Yeah right! You get things on the wall and ceiling and some artiofacts.
And looking at the solutions for puzzels is pointless since it is all for PS2.
Chakotay, did you even bother to notice that dinahcat already provided the needed help? She has also written a walkthrough for the Wii version, which should be on TR Hub & Chronicles soon.

Stella does have walkthrough information for the Wii version.
In the Nintendo Wii game, the constellation puzzles are a little different. The clues are still in the same places, but the "stars" painting are arranged differently. Instead of shooting the stars, you'll use the Wii remote to connect the dots on the puzzle panel. For the first challenge, check the door to see the clue. Five of the stars are lit and connected by straight lines. Return to the puzzle, step on the pressure pad and press Interact. Then hold the A button and aim the Wii remote to "draw" lines of light connecting those five stars. (One possible solution is shown in this diagram (http://www.tombraiders.net/stella/walks/TRAwalk/screenshots/stfrancis_puzzle1.gif).) When you do, the door opens.
From the St. Francis' Folly section of her TRA walkthrough :)
