I have noticed a few things in anniversary that werent explained properly. Here is a list

-Tihocan is not in his coffin
-qualopec got up of his chair but didnt catch lara
-Whats the seventh age?
-When natla was being prisoned in that ice thing she said "It cannot be stopped! The wheels of kalthar are already in motion". What are the wheels of kalthar?
-How did natla change clothes in the lost island?

This all makes me belive that tru will have something to do with anniversary:D

The 7th Age is the lost age on Earth like Maya calendar said. The 6th age (our era) will be finished in 2012 year, December 12. And all humanity (or all Earth popularity) will die. Dunno believe in it or not but maya was smart ancient civilization. So I`m waiting for Armageddon now.

Dunno where Tihocan is.

Qualopec scared me to death!!! He didn`t catch Lara becoz there was a little earthquake

Wheels of Kathar... I think this is some ancient metaphor, maybe Greek

And Natla did change clothes coz her queen clothes were there. On Lost Island I think

Not everything in a game is going to be explained trXD. While it is true we will probably learn what happened to Tihocan and Qualopec in future games, and perhaps we might learn what the wheels of kathar are, since Kathar used to be make weapons for the gods we might actually see a physical mechanism. But more likely it was just a metaphor for the gods washing their mistakes away and starting afresh. Tihocan had already overcome Natla, and destroyed her creations, Atlanitis was in ruins, but the flood had presumably not yet occurred.

l doubt you will get an explanation for Natla's ability to change clothes, we were given enough info in the game to come to a conclusion about that. Or do you think Natla had a wardrobe in the crystal she was frozen in? She was in her goddess attire when imprisoned, and had reverted to her more demonic form when released, no she did not change clothes. Nor did Karel change skins when he changed forms, he did not carry around a few spare bodies he could change into. Natla goes into the pyramid in her human form, and can instantly change to Goddess mode, as Natla Goddess she falls in the lava and again reverts to what is likely her real physical body, although possibly the true Natla is not a physical being but like all gods, merely takes on a physical aspect.

Cool, I didn't know that :D It makes perfect sense if TR8 really is about the Maya. Natla must have been trying to fulfill the Mayan prophecy (or maybe CD will say that the Mayan prophecy was based upon an Atlantean prophecy that Natla was involved with).

I hardly doubt that Natla is a human. She may be what some people refer to as a shapeshifter; that is she appeared as a human to Lara on the tv screen in the beginning of the game and then later changed to reveal her true self. Either way, she is truly evil.

:D

I'm sure every game leaves at least one unexplained detail. That's just the way it goes, and we can only hope those will be explained in future games to satisfy our curiosity.

Based on all this esspecially the 7th age having to do with the maya calander...it sounds like anniversay, legend, and underworld will be tied together?

it would be interesting i think

one thing is unknown for me. How Natla has managed to create her own corporation? From where did she get the money?

She probably used her knowledge of Atlantean technology to "invent" something and then make money off of it :)

I think about it too. Maybe after World War II all the world was like messy, so she used her power, magic etc.? Like Sophia Leigh with her cosmetic corporation and Ekhardt with his archeological things:confused:

^ true. Such persons always easily with money, fear and other crappy things can get people on their side and create a powerful organization.

maybe tihocan was graverobbed and all that was left was nothing. Actually it would be quite strange if there was nothing but an unrestful mummified foot. ;)

The thing about that that's always bugged me is that this completely ignores the calendars of other cultures that don't acknowledge the BCE/AD switch (such as the Chinese or hebrew calendars which are far beyond even the year 2007) In almost every culture there is an "armageddon" and everytime there's some milestone someone says "the end is near"....people need to wise up and stop acting so self important, you aren't important enough to be here when the world ends.(present company excluded of course:hug:) There just isn't anything "magical" about numbers. From what i remember it's 12 Dec 2012 12/12/12...but that ignores the 20 part of the year....so it really would've made more sense if it had been 12/12/1212 or even 12/12/12AD. The cataclysmic changes it would take to destroy our world (or even civilization) are SO far off

Qualopec scared me to death!!! He didn`t catch Lara becoz there was a little earthquake

I played it recently and thought maybe he got smashed by one of the rocks...looking back I think it would've been SO much better if you had to fight Tiochan and Qualopec for the pieces of the scion. It'd make it more like several "boss" fights rather than Lara vs. the centars (which are easy once you figure out what to do).

The biggest "unexplained" thing in Tomb Raider is who puts out all the ammo and health packs;) maybe it's Amelia from Avalon hehehe

There is NO medipacks and ammo. It`s just for player NOT for Lara. We need ammo to continue a game, so...:)

They can't prove any of that stuff anyway... and they're probably from the same period as the people who wrote the Bible.

You know, there was a similar apocalyptical goof with bysantian pre-calculated calendars for christian celebrations (those, that don't have a fixed date). They have calculated the days for a good number of years ahead, thinking, naturally, that when the time comes, new calculations shall be performed to continue the calendar. Funny thing is, the technology for such mathematical procedures was, unfortunately, lost and those countries who had orthodox christianity (namely Russia, heh) got completely freaked out when they realised that their pre-made calendars from Bysantia have, omfg, no new years ahead, which, of course, means the world will end and blah-blah-blah.

So who knows, maybe the Mayan priests had the same "we'll continue it later" thing going on.

On a side note, i have always wondered what food there was for all those gorillas and lions in Greece or panthers in Egypt (aside from occasional tomb raiders, of course)?

It's actually December 21, 2012 (12/21/12). As far as I know, this is just the date that corresponds to the last date in the Mayan calendar (it wasn't chosen based upon the numbers being the same in our calendar). It's the winter solstice, which is probably why it's the last day on the calendar, and as for the year it seems to be the last year the Mayans considered to be part of the 6th age. Whether or not anything will actually happen, as far as the next game is concerned I'll bet that the apocalyptic predictions are true (so far, Lara has never wasted time in a game on a myth that didn't end up being real in her world).

The only thing that sort of worries me is how original will TR8 be. The name "Underworld" already belongs to a recent movie in my mind, and I just found out that another high-profile game which came out recently also deals with 2012, so undoubtedly the sequel will too and it might be out at the same time as TR8 :( (I don't want TR8 getting slated for copying since I'm pretty sure they had their story written before it was revealed that this other game also deals with 2012)

I played it recently and thought maybe he got smashed by one of the rocks...looking back I think it would've been SO much better if you had to fight Tiochan and Qualopec for the pieces of the scion. Ooh, that would have been cool :D I think CD is planning to have those two show up again, though, so they couldn't have been killed off in TRA.
