Immigration and government seem to be popular topics here, so how about we take a crack at discussing this subject? I'm interested to read all of your views on this.

How do you think diversity strengthens a nation?

How could diversity ever hinder a nation?

How does diversity affect national identity?

This discussion is by no means meant to scapegoat any race or culture.

Yes. I think that if we all were the same and agree on everything then life would not be fun.

1. diversity affects national identity because with diversity, the identity changes. it becomes more colorful & darker.

2. the effect diversity has on a nation depends on the level of trust, understanding & tolerance between the citizens. if the relationship between different ethnic/religious groups etc is strong, then the nation is stronger. vice versa.

interesting discussion quasi!! :tmb:
