Hi,
New to the forums but very excited about the next TR release, considering I have a PS3.
I was just wondering if anyone knew if any sort of ONLINE features would be available, for example time-trial times/scoring/races.
Or even some sort of ghost co-op mode?
I just mention this due to the capabilities of the PS3/X360, being mostly connected to the Internet it would be nice to take advantage of these features.
I can see extra Lara outfits being downloaded from the Playstation Store! :-)
Since CD are always embracing new technologies, I feel that this would be another area for them to take advantage of.
Any other ideas for online modes?
What are your thoughts?
Also, where could PLAYSTATION SIXAXIS be used in-game? For balancing on beams? Shaking off enemies? Ringing bells? Swinging on ropes?

Sorry i hate the idea! I always have. For me it is not all all suited to Tomb Raider. After all it is Tomb Raider and not Halo. I think even the time trials in the games are pushing it already, and are basically a crap way to try and make people replay the game. TR should be too big and enjoyable to want to rush through! It is also a game for loners i would say! LOL! And i like it that way, and it should stay that way.
The only time TR should be a group activity, is if you are so stuck, and you enjoy playing the game with friends, and you all sit and try and work it out together. Basically this is what i did when i was a kid, with my sisters, and it was a great way to spend time together.
Basically i HATE the idea of online gameplay and unlockable outfits, i mean WTF is the deal with bloody outfits these days! I really could not give a **** what she has on, neither do i care about dressing her up. That is for teenage girls with barbie dolls.
What is popular and up to date, is not always the best thing, in fact it is usually the worst. Just because every other game does it, does not mean CD need to do it with TR, and neither does it mean they are not keeping up to date. In fact it would mean they were doing everything they need to do in order to protect Tomb Raider without pandering to the masses, who like pretty games, with online game play and short sharp story lines and play length, and no depth at all.
I am guessing it is a matter of time before TR has online game play though. It is so sought after and commercial, and this seems to be how Crystal Dynamics work. Pandering to the masses, ruining a game in the process.

I hate the idea of online play myself. It wouldn't look good at all, imagine a whole bunch of Lara's running around on screen killing each other, it would just look stupid. This is Tomb Raider, not Halo.

I agree with you, I probably wouldn't get any more outfits. I always play TR with a friend or my partner to run through it together, then we take turns in playing after she is dead! I wish the levels were like 2 hours each to complete, then by the time you'd finished it you'd be playing Tomb Raider: Halcyon Tempest (lol) on the PS4!

LOL! That really is the way to do it! And that is the only time Tomb Raider should be played in a group environment and setting! When you get really stuck, and you have to ask your friends to help :vlol: Or when they love the game so much, they all come to your place on the day of the release to get a glimpse of it!
By the way, you said you are new, although you have 150 posts! :vlol: Anyway, welcome :wve:
