How to remove MCafee spamkiller software?

Hi, it's not i who need help with this, but another person. He's going to install Kaspersky internet security but it's getting blocked because of MCafee spamkiller. He can't remove it either because he gets a message that the files are writerprotected(?) Right spell?

Has he tried Add + Remove programs? And doing it that way.. than simply pressing Unistall. It might be the case... But who am i to know, i'm no good at this stuff.. Atleast i tried. :p

It will work well that way, dizzydoil, but it will unisntall the full anti-virus!

@Mads: did you try another anti-virus, like those suggested here in TRF?
Try unisntall the Spamkiller first but if you can't uninstall only then I suggest you to download one of those suggested anti-virus, before uninstalling McAfee

-uninstall mcafee in control painel
-if that doesnt work try it in safe mode then install kaspersky, there is no need to install others this one is the best
