Id like to thankx zizou First for uploading the scans of the PC JEUX magezine... and i didn't make this thread to bash any company!
But after looking at one image analising everything i noticed just like in the Legend and Anniversary screens(scans), that we again will be seeing the ledges a mile from were they are...

It doesnt look all that obvious compared to the past CD TR games . It looks like they are actually trying to blend the ledges into the environment this time around.
Oh poopie! :( I was hoping for ledges a la Legend Ghana temple (not so obvious and they were in to the walls) and a la Anniversary (5 inches out of the walls). Atleast they aren't white though.
I share your frustration Zelda. I've just finished reading the translation of the article, and it's written that every ledge will be interactive this time, so there's really no need to make them so obvious (I wonder if this means that this there will be dead ends, ledges that there's no need to grab, making the players get lost more often...Sounds good, but unlikely), although I admit, it's nothing compared to the ones in TRA.

Wouldn't surprise me, but it would disappoint me if they made them brighter in the final game.
Yea I do notice them, but I agree that they're a bit more blended than TRL and TRA so that's an improvement.
Also it sounds like they're making her very very mobile in terms of climbing, maybe something on the lines of Assassin's Creed? So maybe it won't matter if we can see those white ledges since climbing them may not serve any purpose :) Ie:
If all ledges are climbable, but not all climbable ledges lead to something, then it doesn't matter if they all look obvious :D haha
In any case it's still quite early in development, they seem to be paying attention to what the fans want, they might even disappear by the time the game comes out, if not then maybe they've been left white for a reason...

I am a little dissapointed, but (so far) they look to be blended in better, and if you really can grab ANY ledge, then well, thats a good thing obviously. My main gripe with Legend, and Anniversary in particular, was not that the ledges stood out like a naked person stood in the middle of a forest, but that you always knew, if there was a ledge, well, you knew where to go. They should add random ledges in, so that its easy to get lost and you don't always know where you are going.
If they have to make them visible like that in the first place, what I think they should do is put those ledges everywhere, even if they don't lead anywhere.
edit: ok, I shouldve read posts above. ^ ditto.
ledges on buildings or piles are ok for me, but ledges on cliffs are driving me crazy :hea: in legend i hated that so much.
