Anyone play this game? :wve:

I'm just downloading the trial version of it now. 10 days FREE or something like that. Is it any good, etc?

Its very good.
I warn you though. Its so addictive, it ruined my life one year ago. When my parents stopped me from playing I became really bad grades.
If you manage to have control over it though, its a very good gaming experience imo.
However, Burning crusade made everything 20 times boring, and they are soon releaseing another expansion pack. :(

I'm not very fond of it. A friend of mine got it and I hardley ever see him anymore, he's just obsessed with it. I realise that some people do just play it casually and thats fine, but others just get totally addicted.

Fish.

I never played it, and I never quite feel like playing it. Reasons are because:

-My PC sucks, WoW will probably blow it up. :(
-It doesn't interest me. RuneScape seems more interesting. Even after that one crap update they released yesterday.

For some lovers of Warcraft III, like me, WoW ruined the Story, and if a player cares about the "bosses" like Illidan, Tyrande, Jaina or Balnazzar, then you should know that these same heroes were raised or killed in Warcraft III.

As for me, Story is important, and I don't understand that Balnazzard is killed in Warcraft III - The Frozen Throne, and he now reappears alive in WOW.

Also, classes were messed, because now every race can almost have/be any class!

You really shouldn't have bumped this for such a small question, if you are unsure about the fees you can check this http://www.wow-europe.com/en/legal/termsofpayment.html. More questions, opens another thread or SEARCH for information...

I did, and I payed 15€ per month in 3months payments. It looked like the best option, since you would pay more if it was just monthly, and 6 months would be too much if I ever stopped paying.

You can also buy pre-paid cards. ;)

And considering this thread is over a year old, it should be point enough not to bump it

I should think it's ok to bring this one back. It's still a relevant topic.

The thing about WoW is that you can have an ok time being casual, but it doesn't really get fun until you're all powerful. And that is what takes a considerable amount of time.

Jake Croft

Like ive seen other games which are online but none of them really compare up to the standards of WoW
The fee's are quite costy though

I completly disagree. It was when I became all powerfull that the open wrold feel of it vanished and I started playing it more for the being even more powerful then for the fun of the world.

Were you playing on a PVP or PVE realm?

For me the big fun happens when you are able to participate in Halaa, town raids and other world PVP activities.

PVP

When I started playing all I could say was: This is HUGE!!!!! and that feeling kept on going.... Until I reached 60, little after the Burning Crusade came and I got a taste of that same feeling but not for long again... once I got 70 it just became a repetitive cicle of farming something (instance or outdoor) to get something... :(

That's how you end up with several alts :D

All in all, I'd say its an enjoyable experience if you can keep yourself under control. I got my Hunter to 60 pre BC and my Shaman to 70 post BC, but quit playing before Lich King came out. I've wanted to pick it back up, but I know I shouldn't. Its too much of a life vacuum for me personally.

I would hold off on buying Lich King until you are positive you'll like it enough to keep playing.

It isn't hard to level at all. You can easily manage level 20 in less than a week. After that an average player will hit 1 level per day depending on their play style.

Jake Croft

Not very different from when I played.
Only times we won was when I was in a premade with my guild, or when BG's were from 21-30. Being a level 30 druid made it impossible for horde to take me.

I play as a Draenei paladin, RP way. It brings something more to the game, something that was missing from Guild Wars, which I played before. Still, neither of the "locations" (meaning Azeroth, Outland, Northrend) is of the scale I witnessed in GW: Factions Cantha.
On the other hand, the longer of the quest lines are simply keeping me at the game. I am really looking forward what will the Blizzard come up with with the introduction of Icecrow Citadel instance/s. I hope it won't be just "go and kill the Lich King" quest. As far as my opinion goes, the Burning Crusade is better than the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. All in all, I like some of the things that WotLK introduced, but I would see it as a somewhat larger "Fury of the Sunwell" patch, to be honest.

I don't know exactly what you mean buy I'll try to explain the doubt I think you're having:

One copy of the game/expansion per account!

How many copies of the expansion are needed for players with multiple accounts?

You need one copy of the expansion for every World of Warcraft account that you wish to upgrade.
If you buy, (for example) The Burning Crusade, you will get the cd's to install the game on your pc + a code to make your account able to play TBC.

You can use the cd's as many times as you want to install the expansion but the code can only be used once.

If you want to have another account with TBC installed you'll have to get another copy of The Burning Crusade

Jake Croft
02-09-09, 16:43
Ahh i get you, i thought it was like Minty Mouth said aslong as you use the same client you could make as many accounts as you wanted and it counted you as having them added onto that.
