Quad Track and roof entry

I have tried and tried to use the switch to enter the secret room downstairs in her house! I'm just not fast enough to make the door and I'm about ready to tear my hair out!
Instead, I hear that there is a way down to the track from the roof. I've been able to get to the roof, but can't find a way to jump down to the track without dying. Is there something (hedge) that I should land on?

To get to the door before it closes--eliminate all obstacles (lock butler in the fridge and move the crates out of the way so Lara has a clean course to the attic). Pull the lever and immediately push the look button to eliminate the cut scene and allow you to see your manuvers. Roll and run through the doorway to the attic. Either take running jumps or sprint to the attic doorway (make sure not to run past it). Then sprint down the attic stairs. Jump over the balcany railing, take running jumps down the stairs--or if you're standing centered on a step, side flip over the railing onto the floor. Roll and run for the door before it closes (you may need to sprint or run and jump to get there). Then follow the steps to the basement and retrieve the key from the aquarium.

As far as the roof entry--see the previous post on Dec. 28 about the other entry to the quad bike.

I believe you can also use either the all items or all secrets cheat code to get the racetrack key if you can't reach the door before it closes and are getting too frustrated to try again. That way you can enjoy the 4 wheeler without losing any health to get to it.
