Did anyone other than me notice that (In the England level of Legend) King Arthur did not really look dead? He was very well preserved. How and why? Do you think it means he will "Awaken" in Underworld? After all, he is "The once and future King". Just a thought.

I wonder if you're thinking too deeply :p

It's possible, especially when you consider the fact that TRU is the sequel to TRU...plus with all the theory that the Underworld is accesible via a body of water, since Arthur's body was placed on a boat to rest "somewhere", he may very well likely be meeting Lara there...again, the question is HOW do you connect a living King Arthur in TRU with whatever goal Lara has for going there? :)

l doubt Arthur will want his body back now Lara cracked the egg open, the body will start to decompose. Mind you it would serve Lara right to have a decomposing Arthur chase her around saying "Look what you have you done wench! Give me back Excalibur so l can part your head from your body"

If Lara does see Arthur in the underworld, l am just dying to know what excuse she is going to come up with for that bit of tomb raiding. If his spirit did not make it to Avalon, he has to be somewhere waiting for his body to be restored to life so he can go to Avalon, no better place than the underworld.

l think expecting Lara to be talking to an empty suit of armour is almost as bad as thinking she would talk to a statue. Why would some mysterious advanced civilisation go to all that trouble to preserve a statue?

Current gen Arthur from the cutscene is different, not quite sure if CD were perhaps thinking of showing the body decomposing or if it was a problem with the Nixxes port to PC. The first cutscene had the good version superimposed on the bad, the second cutscene just had the bad face. The Xbox version was the same, l never had a chance to look at the PS2 cutscene. There did not seem to be any change in the XBox360 or PC next gen version.

According to mythology, Arthur is now in the celtic "OTHERWORLD".

I don't understand why people think he "needs his body back". I doubt he'd want that one. He was carried to the Otherworld by the Lady of The Lake, as his physical body was dying. It is of no use to him now.

There are other threads discussing this, by the way.

Remind you of anyone? Qualopec from TRA, perhaps? Same 'blackened but not decomposed' face. Same state of 'suspended animation?

If that's the case, though, why didn't Arthur come back to life to kick Lara's ass when she stole excalibur. Actually, that might have been because there was a big nasty snake thingy just outside to do that for him.

Still, though, the similarity is striking.
