Ok, just thinking about the Floating Islands level.
She goes threw a door that leads to a bunch of floating islands and a Infinate Fall AND Warriors protecting sections. I think Core ment for this level to be a Underworld type thing and know one relised back then.
So I was thinking that that was a little connection between TRU and TR2. This might be better off in the TR2 forums tho..
There won't be a connection in the storyline, or at least I hope not. I don't want another excuse for another re-imagine
Floating Islands is very Underworld IMO. I think Core were aiming at something similar with that level, and worked out brilliantly.

I fogot to add Dragons Lair would be a Chinese Underworld type place.
I didnt mean a storyline connection either.

:(
Well l was sort of hoping for a remake of Tomb Raider 2 between TR8 and TR9, not necessarily the whole thing, just the best bits with a bit more story and explanation concerning Xian and the Floating Islands and how they fit into everything.

And maybe an explanation about whether that guy on the menu is Marco Bartoli :ton:
Hm, that's an interesting idea - Floating islands being an underworld itself. That certainly never occured to me. Cool, though :tmb:

I really hope they do a TR2 remake but its a bit late. And if CD tried a TR3 remake (god forbid, dont really like TR3) it would be very simple and small...well, if they havent learnt by now.

This so impossible.
I mean more than 70% of TR4 levels were underground.
Catacombs are the underworlds so they are the basics of a TR game.
I think CD dhould not refer to past TR, but move forward with new ideas

no you didnt.
this is just a suggestoin or idea.
I wouldnt like to see a re-visioning of the Floating Islands,
but perhaps a level set in china that was very similar to it :tmb:
i hope they decide to revision once again and they reffer somehow in the tru to other games,.. and throu hints to point to a possible game or maybe 2. they could point to tr2, and tr8 and later on tr8 reffer again to tr2 and later a tr2 revisioned game,.. and so on...:D
Crystal Dynamics approached Eidos with the idea of remaking of Tomb Raider 2 some time ago; all Eidos have gotta do is give the go ahead.
Could a Tomb Raider 2 remake be next year's Tomb Raider game?
:wve:

Maybe it was an inspiration of some kind ;)
