New details about this year’s new Tomb Raider title have been emerging lately. Last week, the game was confirmed for the Wii, DS, and PS2. This week, courtesy of Official PlayStation Magazine UK, even more details have been released. Since the news comes from a Playstation magazine, it is pretty safe to assume all these details apply to the 360 version as well. What we are waiting to hear is whether or not all of these apply to the Wii and DS versions.
Lots of water and rain. Water will make surfaces slippery, which means she’ll occasionally have to adjust
“Elegant movement” allows Lara to cartwheel over beams and wall kick her up medium ledges.
She can pick up staffs from the environment in order to attack. It’s possible to dual-wield the gun and staff
Ability to jam staffs into walls, and use them to gain access to previously unreachable areas
Weapon lock-on system
Most enemies are non-human
Drive a motorcycle whenever available to most anywhere you want
Game takes place across “several continents, in places no-one has seen for centuries”
