SO as the title says WHAT! happend? who likes the realistic one and who like the Un?

She looks good as a realistic version of her old classic self IMO. I did like the slightly cartoony AoD Lara a lot though.
I just hope she has her unrealistic skills back.

I love the Underworld Lara. Don't get me wrong, I like the old one too, but games are going forward, and Lara has to adapt or become obsolete.

cookie cutter? It means same-old same-old. For instance a lot of comic book/ video game females have the same facial features and body type, and sometimes you can only differentiate between them by the colour spandex they wear or their accessories.

As long as she acts unrealistic, i don't mind her looking more and more like a human. I mean, imagine if TR would be the only game franchise with a lead cartoon character in total realistic environments. That's one thing I didn't like about AOD, whilst the environments and other characters looked realistic, Lara herself looked like an alien wandering the streets of Paris.
They should find one style for all characters in a game, and I think Crystal have proved they can do that.:)

SO as the title says WHAT! happend? who likes the realistic one and who like the Un? You're serious? You consider that plastic faced, thin-armed, weird-boobed Lara even semi-realistic? Just because they give her a shiny face and "higher cheekbones" doesn't mean she's realistic. It's the same Lara from Legend but covered with a coat of baby oil. Realistic Lara is just another 40 year old woman trying to look 20 again.

Has Lara ever looked like a cookie-cutter female video game character, though? If they're trying to give Lara some additional unnecessary individuality and uniqueness by making her face look starved and anorexic, then I'd take the "cookie-cutter" look any day of the week. ;)
Well es I remember that Core talked about Lara's looks in aod. And have you noticed that AOD lara has a bit less detail then for example Kurtis or eckhardt? They have those wrinklyie things and more detail added to their face. And they said that they didnt add this sort of detail to lara because they didnt want to make her too real for teh players. there should always be something making her as if she is not from our world.
And then I remember Toby gard said pretty much teh same for legend.Also that the mesh is unrealistic but the textures are... They seem to ahve forgotten about this now
When TR first emerged on our screens there were some comic-book style drawings of her (there was one with her holding a few skulls, and one with her hair down, I think). I always thought that would be a good look for her.
She needs to maintain her unrealistic moves, though - it wouldn't be the same game without the OTT acrobatics. Slightly concerned about the news that Lara is now motion captured.
Out with the old, in with the new?
I would not mind her becoming more realistic, but if she's supposed to look like that in the game, then this is the ugliest Lara ever, IMO :eek:.

Yeah, I just hope they don't try to make her move realistic like AOD. That would be bad. But I really like the realistic Lara, she still looks realstic while keeping her classic look.

She died due to lack of time from the evil Eidos overlord to be able to escape the evil boulders of huge audience expectation.
I absolutely love the new Lara look. It kind of takes me back to very early 2000's, when I, a dreamy youngster, would look at the ridiculous yet strangely magnetic, Last Revelation render art, at Lara's tyre-like bosom, toothpick waist and cone-shaped head and imagine how all this grotesque would translate into reality.
Back to the present, here it is, closer and closer yet still as magnetic, and I never believed it was coming. It's like you dream as a kid of a rain of candies, then grow up, get disillusioned however still fancy candy, then go out to work one day straight into a caramel torrent.

Probably most of her moves but that's why it's a game. If she was realistic she'd have to stop and pee in the corners of temples. Run out of breath. Die twice as much doing jumps. No more high leaps.
It'd basically be her walking the whole entire game.

imo she looks hard faced, she looks like tr1 lara which is a good thing hopefully they will put the personality in aswell but i wont hold my breath

In all honesty though, I don't miss her compared to the Lara we have now. :cln:

i want a realisitcally shaped Lara with her original porportions in tact (***** hips legs etc.) her new skinny figure bugs me.

the difference is that we regular people may look younger even with pores and wrinkles, but... if lara gets wrinkles it looks way too old... besides thats part of the realistic lara which appeal no body,...:(

well i ment just the old lara, and her looks acculy i really didn't care about them the unrealistic i meen is like the long jumps and the fight againts beats!!

Realistic Lara makes it seem scarier, more close to home, it makes the atmosphere more serious thus making the game more thrilling. :)
