Couldn't you borrow a drill from a neighbour or something?

Q: You gots money?
A: Yes.

Re-A: Then Buy a drill and (here's a fun word) drill accessories. Think of it as an investment for your next big home improvement project.

And if you still won't get a drill (it's not like it can kill you) then get a kitchen knife (or two) and hack away at it. After you dull one knife, go onto the next. Good luck.

Use a cheap nail drill and make a circle of dots first, then punch in the dotted circle, and claim that you punched a very nice circle and post a photo here. :D

I'd do this seriously. :tmb:

if you heat the nail it can easily make a hole in everything ;)

Something like that around here wouldn't surprise me actually.

But seriously. You could also try a key-hole saw. If it's oak you're sawing into it will be tough. If it's particle board then it shouldn't be a problem.

I'd also suggest a jigsaw, but if you're too afraid of power tools.... :-p

wow!! you have a wooden monitor?!! can u post a pic? why do you want to drill a hole in it?:D

But really though, I'd say the easiest way would be to borrow someones drill and a doorknob bit (the ones that make holes in doors, where the knobs go) and have at it. I think your hole will be plenty big then!!!
