Finally got round to playing this on my 360 last night.
All I can say is, what an awesome game! :tmb:

I found Portal to be one of the most entertaining games I've ever played.

The puzzels were testing but where I might have turned to a guide on other games portal was constructed in such a way that I solved them all myself. No silly 'do it in exactly this way or you fail' solutions that cant be arrived at with logic and reason.

And obviously one of the funniest games in a long while. I do love banter.

I haven't played it, because its so short and I have to buy the orange package, and I don't want to buy a 1-3 hour long game for the price of a normal game, but I have seen some videos about it and its totally awesome!
Especially the credits song. Its on my Mp3. :D
Also, Gladys(?) is one awesome computer. I love he rand her random chat. XD

Portal is a genius of a game and I loved my companion cube, I got so attatched to it cos I got lonely... just me and my cube. Did I feel awful when I had to do... 'that thing' :(.

I love Portal, it's pretty much faultless, the graphics, audio (the credits song had to be the greatest thing ever), emotional attachment (please don't make me do that to my WCC :( ) are all perfect. :tmb:

It seems to me that there are two kinds of people: Those who love it and those who haven't played it yet. Seriously, I practically never hear criticism, and some normally very critical websites have basically pledged their firstborn children to the game. No idea why, honestly. I mean, the game is better than any computer game released in the last fifteen years, sure, but is it that good?

It's one of the best games ever made. :p

I didn't get so attached to the WCC to be honest. I euthanised my faithful Companion Cube more quickly than any test subject on record. Beat that. :p

The cutest character in the game is the Curiosity Sphere.

Its not that it some kind of super-game, more that its interesting, enganging, new, witty blah, blah blah.

It's short and sweet basically, theres nothing that really stands out as being bad or annoying. Its kind of like the first tomb-raider in that it wasnt billed as a new block-busting title.

People bought it as part of the orange box for the most part. If it had been sold as a stand-alone game to start with I'm sure people would have been far more critical about length or replayability or lack of multiplayer etc. The fact that it was more of an 'extra feature' rather than a standalone makes it more impressive in peoples minds.

I think it's because it feels fresh, and it's funny.
Not much games had a Portal gun, and if they had it it wasn't the main thing. Also the story about the gun is different. And of course it's a game were you don't have to kill. Except for robots that barely harm you.

:oYou know, that's funny because I got The Orange Box for Christmas yet I spent weeks playing Call of Duty 4 online before I actually got round to playing The Orange Box :p

Portal is awesome. I've beaten it and gotten all the achievements except the Long Jump and Terminal Velocity one. Great stuff. :D

I love this game! It's loads of fun and I love listening to GLADOS; I've got the song on my iPod. I actually got really confused at the end. I can't wait to see what they do next with it.

I bought the t shirt for my fella at Christmas, and as soon as I have more cash I'll buy those posters, love 'em!

I heart Portal so hard, it's a breath of fresh air isn't it? And it's bloody funny, to boot! I've replayed it over and over because it's just enjoyable to play, I can't think of any part where I got stuck/frustrated/confused which is far too common in today's games. Yay for Portal!
