Welcome to the forums :)
Moved to Technical Support page.
Hello there. :)
You need to apply compatability mode to the game, to do this go to the link/shortcut you use to start the game, right click it and choose properties. Then click compatability and then change to Windows 98/ME. Then reload the game and it should work fine.
As for your TR1 problem, there are major problems with getting it to work, requiring other software to run it. Please refer to the guide on the link underneath this paragraph to help you get the game running, and you can always post back here if you need any help. (Tech Support section is recommended for that. :))

Just a thought about the TR1 solution. Have you tried installing the game through the Tomb Raider installer that is on TR Hub/TR Chronicles?! Thats the only proper way that I know to install the game on Windows XP/Vista, etc. :)
jez.stix, follow the guide HERE (http://www.tombraiderhub.com/faq/tr1.html) to install TR1 under XP/Vista. Pay special attention to video card features described there - your installation process depend on the hardware you have.
If any problems, run Diagnose.exe (http://www.tombraiderhub.com/download/diagnose.exe) and post the report.

This is a common TR2 problem with PC's, that are not win95 or win98 ...
Another way of preventing getting the error message crash (without any patches), at the start of a new level is to do the following....
When your level finishes and you get the statistics page up and the finishing music, do not press any button to start the next level for at least half a minute. let the music play out, wait, then press the button.
What is happening is that the next level data is taking a long time to load and you interupt it, if you press next level start.
Just a bit of patience of that half minute, and it works a treat :D
my reply to sold out
here's one for you I’ve tried tomb raider 1 on 3 computers with no luck also between me and mates we have 3 copies neither of them work next, tomb raider 2 I got the answer from this web site http://www.tombraiderforums.com/index.php you’re way does not work. how about I send you all 3 copies to you and you test them as after speaking to my mate this is not the first time for him that one of your games does not work and he now refuses to buy them cheers jez
