Is it only my copy of TR 3 (PlayStation) that on EVERY cutscene the sound is always a few seconds behind the animation?

Its EXTREMLY annoying, any way to fix it?

What system are you playing it on? PS1, 2, or 3?

Quite a common problem on PC's but should not be on Playstation, I lived with this for years on PC :D

The problem on Playstation
Playstation... recommend cleaning the disk, then try again.

The problem on PC's
Is due to a low spec computer, sound card and/or video card is not that good.

Result... the video and sound go out a bit of sync. Usually sound finishes before the visuals.

Its not really that bad a problem, as I used to get jumping and stuttering visuals in TR4 cutscenes, which is far worse.

thanks guys

playing on the original Playstation, then moved to PS2. tried several different PS2's, still did it

cleaned the disk- still did it

cleaned the laser lens of all the PS2's- still does it

cleaned laser lens of PS1- still does it

turned texture mapping to smooth and disc speed to fast- still does it

did the same as above, and even turned diagnosis on- still does it

disk looks just fine...

its done this every since i have gotten the game. while it is only a minor problem, its always done it and if there isnt anyway to fix it then this thread can easily be closed, but if theres anyway of fixing it ill try anything

thanks again

All you are left with now, is the amount Virtual memory (working memory RAM)available on the PS2 to play the cutscenes.

The HDD (hard-drive) is used to backup virtual memory on the PS2, so you may experience slow down due to the PS2 hard drive trying to catchup.

How you solve vitual memory problems, would require you to look at some PS2 forums on the subject, but I would say the problem is just an irritation and not worth pursuing a solution.

But if you are still looking for answers. heres a PS forum I googled on the subject...

If it's PS no way to fix it, you can try cleaning the cd or the lens, but i don't think it will make difference.
