View Full Version : Cradle of Life or TR1?
Which movie did you guys prefer of the two? It's a tough choice, but it would have to be COL for me. I liked the fact that we got to see more of Lara's emotional and sensitive side, rather than just the Lara we see in the game.... I liked the storyline as well, it had a great concept. What do you guys think?
Cradle of Life comes out later this month here, but I have the first one on DVD and really like it. Excellent special features on there too.
I think I like COL more, but just a little. Maybe by saying that I won't start arguing with myself again. But then again, TR1 was really good too...Oh, great. Here I go again... :D
Being a movie buff, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with COL. It had a decent & interesting plot line, less cheesy dialogue, lots of suspense, good action scenes, & Jolie acted more like the video game Lara than she did in the first.
Very much agreed Flipper.
Tomb Raider COL was better by far. A lot more true to the series than part 1 and just a better movie regardless.
TR1 I'm afraid to say in my view was a heap of steaming poopy. I liked the second one and was rather impressed. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif There was a lot more action and it had a more interesting plotline that kept me watching. It has a long way before it beats Indiana Jones movies though.
col in the old one she used her guns for 30 seconds -_-
just to be contrary, I preferred TR1.
actually, I really did... I don't know why. It felt more like Tomb Raider to me.
the croft woman!
Tr1 for me. It felt more tomb raidery, COL was great to, but i just liked tr1 a hell of a lot more and think they should bring Simon West back as director.
Iv'e never seen the film :( I must get it out on vidio someday http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/jumper.gif I keep meaning to see it but never get round to it
COL for sure! :D :D :D But i really liked the first one as well! :D
i love them both, but Cradle of Life for me since it had better plot, more action, kept me on the edge of my seat more, and in my opinion, achieved a sense of realism that i didn't feel in the first tomb raider film. I think it was all the locations in the film. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
