So who's buying the PS2 version of Underworld?

Thought it'd be interesting to see how many folks on the forum intend on buying Tomb Raider Underworld game for PS2 :)

I'll be buying the PS3 version myself but if the PS2 version is quite different, which I think it probably will be then I'll also buy that version!!

Am staying away from the Wii version, it won't be much better than TRA on Wii I think - which was awful, just a typical weak port :smk:

I don't see how that would work, though. The Underworld engine was designed for current gen systems, so I don't see how they could possibly condense it for PS2.

omg @.@ I didn't even realise it was going to come out on PS2. Have I been living under a stone!?
I'm rather excited now. PS2 version for me. Might not see the game at its optimum beautifulness but at least I'll be able to play it straight away without having to save up for an Xbox or PS3 :jmp:

I am getting the PS2 version and most likely the 360 version too. (I'm graduating this year, so I'm going to ask for a 360 for a graduation present from my parents).

I think it will be fun to play both, It will be like playing TR:Anniversary and TR1, Same basic story and areas but one has improved graphics, gameplay, etc. :) It will feel like playing a remake xD

I am not buying the Ps2 version because I have never bought this console.
The reason for this is because consoles come and go. They don't last forever...
A computer however seem to do exactly this... So I hope next time when they do a stunt like with Anniversary (extra rooms + flashlight etc) for the pc and not the consoles that come and go.
Everything will change in you.. when you find out that you bought a console which is no longer of value when it aged:)

I'm slightly jealous of all you next gen peeps. My laptop is nowhere near good enough to run anything decent (it couldn't even get the textures for Sims 2 right o_O) but if I'm really lucky I might be able to get a 360. *rubs hands together evilly*

That's was my case with Legend, but at least that version was mainly developed for the old-gen.
Underworld's is mainly developed for the current-gen instead

The only thing that concerns me is that the PS2 version could mean limitations on the next-gen versions in terms of being able to translate the experience.:o All the same, I'm happy that folk who may not have a next-gen platform will still have a chance to go on a new adventure with Lara.:)

i duno whether to buy the wii version or ps2 version, - i have both of those. Everyone's telling me to buy the wii version becoz it will be fun to use the wii remote and the nunchuk, but im more used to ps2, and besides, on the wii you have to use the archeological tools
