I can't wait to replay it! :jmp: I prefer the PC version, clearer textures, and less buggy. Shame no music though.

I started playing it again a few days ago as well, on my PS3...I'm taking it slowly though. I'm only up to Lost Valley at the minute. :o

Whenever I enter that room, I imagine there's a gigantic Wile E. Coyote watching.

haha @ rr_carroll.

maybe it would help to say, "meep meep" before you run under the hammer.

Ditto! I'm not actually enjoying it though... I guess I prefer modern games with decent graphics. :(

If you haven't tried it yet ,Paul has written an excellent app Glidos ,( new memeber can't link apparently so you can google or find it at glidos_net) that allow you to play TR on modern hardware . It looks excellent in 1600x1200 with AA and filtering .

Also a number of TR high resolution texture sets ( for free ) can be found at tombraiderxtra . enjoy:)

(p.s. I don't make any money off any of this and in fact have spent hundreds of hours creating textures , I simply offer it for everyones enjoyment :)

And I want to thank you deeply and sincerely for the work. Superbly done, I have enjoyed all of them immensely. I especially liked your interpretation of Palace Midas.

I have been doing a bit of studying on the possibility of some day working on my own texture sets. Matt has given me a head start with some things and I need to take the time to learn everything. I am somewhat of a perfectionist, and I don't do anything halfway. So perhaps one day I will feel ready to take on such a time consuming undertaking. As you guys have done already.

Thanks again for the wonderful work, all of you guys!

If so I am ABSOLUTELY sure I can spare you some of the more painful moments, please feel free to contact me at the vogons site ( I am z9d10 there ) or e-mail to r.silverlok at yahoo.com .

Thanks for the compliments , I rarely get feedback . I am glad to know that even in the incomplete state the textures are being enjoyed . hhhmmm, the MIdas level ... that one still has a number of loose ends , but does offer some breath taking moments :)

Hello everyone, I'm new to this site.

I'm myself trying to install TR1 on my PC but it doesn't want to work. The moment I get to the step 4 of the menue instalation and it ask me to insert the CD, when it is actually already in the computer. Do you have any idea why it does that.

Aside from this issue, your retexturing job is outstanding Paul, really cool.

I suggest you don't try to absorb it all at once.

Thanks, I check it right now.;)

EDIT : Won't work, the advanced installer still blocks on step 4 asking me to put the CD in the writer, I did but it changes nothing.....

winXP or vista ?, are you using any virtual devices ( cd/dvd emulators ) , and or do you have multiple cd/dvd drives?you could just try copying all the files from the cd into a folder on your HD and running it from there or perhaps use dosbox
