What would you buy for your ps3 and why? Games, accessories, etc....


I'm getting one Saturday :jmp: ...I can purchase 4 games and some stuff...honestly what would you get?

If I had a PS3, I would definatly buy Heavenly swrod, Uncharted drakes fortune and Ratchet and Clank.

I'd laugh and throw my ps3 in the bin and get an elite (no im not a fanboy i just dont like ps3) :D

Other:
-Bluray films (if you have a HDTV, bit pointless for the times being if you dont)
-Save some money for the Playstation Store where you can buy OLD classics and some great arcade games

I wouldn't buy a PS3 there's not many decent games on it to be honest. I will stick to my Xbox 360.

I'm buying it also for Blu Ray. We have and hd dvd player...and that is kind of obsolete now! :hea:

So...ps3 is a blu ray player with the addition of being able to play the new ps3 games. A stand alone blu ray player is just as spendy as the ps3...so why not go with the ps3?

We have an xbox and ps2...time to go next gen anyway.

The three games mentioned by others are definite buys :tmb:. That's Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank and Heavenly Sword in case you've forgotten :p.

Accessory wise you probably don't really need anything. Is it a 40GB or a 60GB (or a 80GB, you haven't stated where you live so I can't really recommend any accessories but as I said, you don't really need any)? With a 40GB you can't play PS2 games on it (PS1 yes, PS2 no) but if its a 60 or 80GB then you may want the PS1/2 - PS3 Memory Card Adaptor as you've said you have a PS2. You may also want a Blu-Ray remote as you've said you want to watch Blu-Ray films but the PS3 controller will do just fine. Saying that, another controller would do you well.

Some other great games include Resistance, Motorstorm, Assassin's Creed, Devil May Cry 4 and Folklore.
