ReeceMix knows a bit about this stuff I think... Anyways, I tried to do it for one bit if TRA, and I got it working, it was just so very hard, confusing, and big, that it is way easier to just make your own objects in Meta imo

Ive posted tons on this so rather than repeat myself I will direct you to these threads.

Combining the two;
*Importing UV Map, and importing Lara's model to TRViewer*

The Short Answer ,
Yes you can rip the models,
Yes you can remesh/strech the objects to fit into TRLE
Yes you can add invisable collision for the objects with strpix/animedit
Yes you can use the existing textures and import them with their original UV map or ReUV them if you alter the objects or cut the textures up and texture them with StrPix(like Trangels prj)

However it requires a fair amount of knowlege of TRLE TREP NGLE ETC, Programs, to actually import anything substanial from TRA/TRL would require a COLLOSSAL amount of time effort and patience, and at the end of the day I'd rather use my time and effort on something original rather than these ***** remakes and clone PRJS

It is on my ToDo list to Import Fully UV textured playble TR-AOD Lara & Kurtis (with working joints, and Good news is that Kurtis is the same hight as lara so Kurtis's animations wont require a great deal of alteration) , however Im still learning how to use Blenders GUI and its a pain in the bunz mesh.

The official Meta page is here.

http://www.metaseq.net/english/index.html

Download the two versions of Meta, shareware & freeware. The shareware version only lets you save as native format (.mqo) but has better features for modelling. Open the saved .mqo file in the freeware version which lets you save as .dxf.

It takes quite a while to texture (ReeceMix, I am still texturing those Re4 houses you sent to me a while back, it takes quite a while but I want perfection!)

Just so PPL know what you mean, this is the RE4 house I ripped and imported into TRLE

I look forward to seeing it nicely textured GH :)
