View Full Version : Mouse Roller Stuck
Hey, recently my mouse has been acting a little weird. The mouse I have has a roller between the two buttons that takes the page up or down and now it is a little unresponsive. I scroll with it and it either takes a few seconds to work or does nothing. I cleaned it out and check the Mouses wire connection and they had no effect on it, so if there is a sensitivity control somewhere that would help a lot. Thanks

What is the name and model number of your mouse? Could be a driver issue, or just a faulty mouse.
This happen to me before. Try to uninstall the driver, and then re-install it, or just simply uninstall it then use the standard windows driver, it should work. But what is the name of it?
Thanks for responding
The back of the mouse isn't very clear but it is the original mouse that came with the computer. It was made by Sony and is a VAIO. Here are the numbers I see: 179618351.
or just simply uninstall it then use the standard windows driver, it should work.
Actually the best way, as standard MS driver will work glitchless in most apps and games :tmb:
I am using the original driver
^ Well, try uninstalling it and reboot... On next logon Windows will use standard MS mouse driver. Look if the issue remains and report :)
Humm, that just made things worse, I can't use it at all anymore, I went into the properties of the mouse and made sure the wheel was activated as well.

USB or PS/2 mouse? If PS/2 make sure it is connected to the mouse port and not the keyboard port as it can cause issues. If USB, try another port.
It is in the correct port, it even has a little mouse picture by it to be sure :p
if you have at least another mouse try to see if work.
2 things can be broken:
A. The sensor that responds roller position.
B. The roller grid that affects the sensor itself.
As it was said try another PS/2 mouse :)
