My psp battery is really annoying. The power drains so quickly like in about half an hours gameplay, any ideas on what could be wrong?:(

The same happens to me. Either:

A) Charge the battery all night (if it will make a difference)
B) Buy a new one, preferably an official Sony one.

There are 2 cause for this:

-It could be the battery is new, new batteries need to charge and discharge alot to reach their maximum capacity.
-Battery could be dead, batteries that are running out of their life drain very fast.

Oh the batteries quite new but then again it could be dead. Is there anyway I could find out if it is dead or not?

Usually they have a date printed it, try searching, if not only asking your ebay seller.

Hmm.. It's a Sony one. Try to charge it, and go to Setting > System Settings > Battery Information and check that out.
