Does anybody love old school rock (including 90`s rock)?
I mean: The Beatles, The Who, Sex Pistols, The Rolling Stones, The Cure, David Bowie, The Velvet Underground, Iggy Pop, The Clash, Manic Street Preachers (Richie Edwards period), INXS (Michael Hutchence period), Queen (Mercury period), The Doors, Bob Dylan, U2, The Jam and Paul Weller, Siouxie, Echo and the Bunnymen etc etc etc.

My favourite old rock bands are:
The Velvet Underground

I loved Beatles in 80's and Queen hugely in 90's but my music taste and style changed so many times. And I ended up with britpop in 1998. My favourites are Manic Street Preachers (without Richard Edwards) and Cardigans (together and not :D)

I listen to the clash a lot still. Sandinista is an album that really could stand in todays music, and their lyrics are truly amazing. I dig echo and the bunnymen too ever since I heard their killing moon on donnie darko. lol

Oh well I don`t like Manics now because Edwards was a symbol, like Vicious was a symbol of Pistols or Freddie was a symbol of Queen!

First of all Richie is their best friend. They lost best friend, songwriter, composer and inspiration in one person. But they found the strength to carry on. They will never lose their chic

I love a lot of 'old' rock, from Led Zeppellin to one of my most favourite bands ever: Soundgarden.

They just ruled so much - they still sound so fresh and so raw even now (and can still give newer bands a real run for their money, imo...). I was always a 'grunge' fan (although it wasn't really called that at first) - bands like Alice in Chains (my joint fave with Soundgarden), Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Mudhoney, Pearl Jam (although they lost it towards the end - Ten was a stunning album, but later albums were just boring)... loved them all. Soundgarden were my favourites then, though, and they are still my favourites now :)

Also adore early Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream has to be one of my top ten most listened to albums of all time.

The singer from soundgarden is in Audioslave "now" right? Audioslave sound a bit like soundgarden.

Yup - Chris Cornell is in Audioslave (although they might have split up too... can't remember). I like Audioslave, but Soundgardenare something else... :cln: Just get hold of Badmotorfinger or Superunknown and you'll see what I mean!

I love pretty much all rock and roll music. I'm listening to Rag Doll by Aerosmith right now actually. I love AC/DC, The Who, The Rolling Stones ( The album Some Girls is amazing in my opinion), The Beatles, and The Kinks are absolutely amazing. Alice Cooper, The Blue Oyster Cult, some Bob Dylan. Bruce Springsteen is just so cool, The Cars, The Pretenders, Cheap Trick, Cream, Dire Straits, CCR, Elvis Costello though he's more alternative and The Talking Heads fall under that too. George Harrison is my favorite Beatle and I cried when I found out that he had died. Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Little Feat, Meat Loaf. Would Natalie Merchant be considered Rock? The Red Hot Chili Peppers are awesome. Sublime and Supertramp are favorites. Tom Petty, U2, Van Morrison, Warren Zevon. Rage Against The Machine, I like some Seether. Some Mudvayne. Matchbox 20, Nirvana. Meredith Brooks, Heart, The Eurythmics. Harry Neilson, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Billy Idol, Steve Winwood, CSNY, and Greenday, both their old and new stuff. I could just go on and on but I think I'll stop now. :D I just love music so much.
