From another, now closed, thread I read you wrote
The biggest problem is getting sound on XP, I just dont bother anymore and when it asks during the install menu which sound card does it use, I just bypass that, and play it silently.
why of course, if you don't take advantage of VDMSound (freeware) and/or SoundFx2000 ($hareware), you're bound to play silently...
it has all been fixed for years now
ANOTHER TR1 SUBJECT....
While I am talking about the Tr1 game on PC, can anyone remember the letter of the builtin snapshot button, to take a photosnap of the game while it is running ?
In the origional game on Win95 that facility was there, but I can't find it now on winXP.
There never was a screenshot key for TR1, you would use one of the dos capture utilities then, like Pcxdump, Grabber, ScreenThief...
sweet memories
btw the printscreen key is useless for that.
Then, as Esconder noticed, they implemented a screenshot key with TR Unfinished Business, the forward-slash key "/"
and as Stella properly remarks,
Press the slash key again to stop it, or you'll quickly eat up your hard disk space!
Besides, .pcx files can't be opened with MSPaint later than Win3.1x
