The last two levels are ultra hard even for me. How do you avoid getting attacked by mutants when they are right next to you?
Try jumping, sumersaulting sideways and shooting like crazy :D
that should do it

Thanks. The problem is really that they are so much faster than Lara. Nevertheless, Atlantis levels are fun. For a newbie I think the only really easy level is Croft Manor and the only easy ones are the early ones.
I'll admit that centaurs were damn tough enemies

I am sure I have said this before somewhere................
I loved Lara's attack moves in Legend ( slide/skid into an enemy, Grapple an enemy, Slo Mo Matrix style head shot......and the rest!
I just wish that they were carried forward into TRA.
ah that is what I call off topic :p This one is for you to classify the level's difficultys of TR1.;)

Sorry it's not in colour, I use Dragon software to type and it is a bit of a pain in the ass at times!
I have based my grades on how I recollect playing the game for the first time, back in 1997.

Sudden death traps are the worst for newcommers :D
You know the type, crumbly floors with spikes, falling boulders that make you go eek
The secret is saving as much as possible, and make it at least two saves at all times, in case you make a mistake and save when lara is already dead or dying.
As for baddies, well you get to learn all the good moves required to take them out.
Side filiping, back fliping, retreating backwards, while blazing away with your weapons :D
Mind you that last move I mentioned ( the retreating backwards in short hops while firing, is always a suprise when lara runs out of room and hits her head on the wall behind her, and the advancing baddie catches up lands on top of her :p
Or as she can't see behind her when doing this, she ends up falling down a deep pit with spikes, splat, the pain :hea:

That would make the whole thing so much easier. Unfortunately, I have the PS version and the save crystals are so frustratingly far apart. My last post was how hard it would be for a newbie playing on the PS I suppose.
You will see that in the end you will love TR1. Just replay it a couple of times like I did, and it ended up being my favourite.

TR1 is already one of my favourites. I just found the mutants in Atlantis extremely hard to avoid, so a newbie would probably find those levels EXTREMELY difficult. It's good to have a challenge though.
